Introducing FNR PEARL Chairs: Historical research in the digital age - Sean Takats (full)

Professor Takats’ PEARL project aims to transform historical research practises to meet the demands of the digital age and establish Luxembourg as one of the global leaders in digital history research and development. The project named DHARPA (Digital History Advanced Research Projects Accelerator) will assess the impact of technology on historical research, and it will experiment with how technology can reshape the methodological underpinnings of history as a scientific discipline.
The FNR's PEARL programme provides funding for leading researchers to bring their expertise to Luxembourg and apply it to establish their own research group in a priority area for Luxembourg. www.fnr.lu/pearl

You should run summer seminar programmes to retrain older paper-based generations of historians who still dominate western university positions... in short, outreach activities. And there's more room for wedding content-based historians with the interesting toolkits you are developing. Let me know if you need an organiser, or participants.... SHS
