This video saved me. The screw on my key loosened enough for the chip to fall out while cleaning my car in the driveway. I Googled my car symptoms and that brought me here. I'm glad you showed what the chip looked like because I found mine soon afterwards and car started immediately after reinstalling back into my key. Thanks!

Thanks so much Hektor!!! This was perfect. My key fell apart but I missed to notice/put the transponder. Just went back to the ground to search for the tiny black rubber piece, found it among some driveway rocks, put it back together inside the key and our 2005 Pilot started with no problem at all! (Of course before knowing this I was going crazy checking the battery, putting more gas to possibly bring mechanic to check pump, etc.) THANKS!!! BLESSINGS.

Thanks a lot Hektor. You help me solve my wife's immobilizer problem because she lost the chip when the battery was being changed. We had to purchase another one, but at least its up and running again... I checked fuses, the battery, sp. plugs for spark, fuel rail for fuel and the fuel pump relay. And it was the chip...

This actually just happened to me an hour ago when I stopped for gas. Couldn’t figure it out. Checked all the fuses, the ignition. Nothing was making sense. My key broke earlier in the day and I just kind of put it together half assed. It started no problem when I first put it back together. The only thing was it was apart when I tried to start it quick to leave the gas pumps. That was my failure. So much thanks for this video cause you saved our butts! I put the key kind of back together and it fired right up.

Hektor you are truly the homie! Car battery died and then the key broke trying to turn the ignition. I jumped the battery and car cranked but wouldn’t fire. Watched your video and put the key back together with the transponder and it worked! Saved me hundreds of dollars from getting a diagnosis. The CRV I bought for $3000 is still going strong! Thanks a bunch!

If you're still around, id like to ask you about my 1st gen CR-V. Maybe you could shed some light. Motor swap. No check engine light. Running great. Cold snap/won't start. Getting air/fuel, fire/compression. Before the motor swap, I DID replace cap and rotor. Any ideas? It got negative degrees out and just wouldn't fire up. But get this! I pulled the fuel rail off to check brand new injectors and it fired and briefly ran with the fuel rail off! Starting fluid doesn't do anything. Im wondering if I got some bad fuel and it's just too cold to combust before it's flooding it? Idk. It cranks strong and battery is good.

Hi Hope you can help me. I went to jump start my 2004 CRV (Running Jeep

on the CRV & I tried to start it several times before I realized my
mistake. I bought a new battery & installed now the CRV cranks but
won't start. I pulled every fuse under dash & under the hood not a
single one was blown. Not even the 100 amp battery fuse. What should I
check next? Do you have any idea what could be wrong? Thank you.

I got a Honda Civic 2001-2002 and this started for me about month ago. Worked just fina got home 30 minutes later dead. I noticed electric locks and interior didnt went on when i entered, but didnt bother. THen noticed the flashing key. Its been in the garage now for over a month, they ordered a second hand complete kit, so immobilizer ecu and keys. Still nothing?!?!
I tried explaining them that i find it strange that the doorlocks and interior lights also went dead. Those are not connected to the immobilizer i believe. Hope someone has an idea or experience with this.

The key will crank the engine but won’t start. The locksmith who programmed the key said there is something wrong with my car immobilizer. Do u know why the new key can’t be programmed? I had a guy asked me to fix his car once 2005
pilot, I had the same issue I tried to check fuses relays and everything I could find to stop that key from flashing. I asked the owner, have you changed your key?
he said no, after more research and few hours into this and few times of me asking him.
he got frustrated and told me.
Bro! I already told you I haven't changed the key why do you keep asking me!!?
then I said it all looks good the only thing wrong I see is that, either the key is a different key, as an unprogrammed spare key or a unprogrammed key.
and he said. its the same key I just replaced the casing but its the same key.
to his luck he was able to go trash digging and he found the broken piece I had the ignition on ans as he got to the door the key stopped blinking.
he said I found it!, I replied I know! he said how? I replied watch this! I cranked the car and it started right up!
the piece of plastic wasn't even close to the ignition to make it start. but it started right up!
