    Community spirit, everyone new each other . None of that any more. It’d guess that next door neighbour don’t even talk to each other. A very sad state of the times 😫👍

    My Mother had me waving away at the cars on the other side of the hill down by Railway Terrace

      There is an excellent video you may like on the BFI site I think it’s called connahs quay carnival just type connahs quay and bfi in google and it should come up. It’s absolutely amazing! It’s a parade and Morris dancing video walking through the Quay including golftyn etc in 1965 lots of people I remember in it.

    I used to live in Waterloo street , there was also Union street , we used to go to the Albion in our hot pants lol on a Saturday . I worked in Griffiths newsagents 5:15am start.

      I think it was Prince Charles Inauguration and they were waiting for his car to pass

      @@Memory_Gatherers I remember as I live right opposite the church at the top of the hill in that row of large Victorian terraces - My mum shouted for me to get up and see but I stayed in bed LOL

      This could have been for the National Eisteddfod on Flint Mountain. That started on the 1st August ‘69.
