This is Metallica's most underrated album. Although it doesn't have the fast, thrashy sound that everyone was used to, they put so much emotion into every song. This album deserves lots of respect. Everyone watch, "Some Kind of Monster." You'll get it.

St anger is awesome! And i just LOVE the bass on this album!
i don care what everyone says this album is brilliant in several ways, even the production is genius, what people ont ge is that an artist writes and makes music for himself and people when people likes the music is pure consecuence...an artist is an always creative being and a fan always becomes a selfish person with art, and misses the big picture..

Hetfields voice is just phenomenal. Cannot get enough of Metallica. What sets them aside from 99% of other bands is their newer music doesn't do anything to the reputation of their older songs nor do their newer songs overshadow their older songs. Each album they do is loved and with good reason.
You can really hear how much emotion Metallica has put into that songs. Its a pure and honest album about their feelings. There was tons of anger around at that time
St anger was SO UNDERRATED. This is just one of the songs that proves that. St anger and frantic are others...I wish that temptation would have made it.

I can also completely relate to the lyrics, especially this song, I listen to it whenever I feel angry or upset and it makes me feel so much better. Thanks Metallica.

This was the first Metallica album I hear and first owned.....I didn't know much about them at first....and when I was listening to the album...I found it kind've odd that they didn't have any solos. But I said what the hell....I still like it. This was my favorite song off the album.

It's just the perfect album to hear if you're really fucked up and shit ... There are moments when I can listen to this and every song matches with my feelings and you can get your frustration, fear and anger out of you with it ... that's just great
This song is incredible. It's...different from the others. It's a side of Metallica we rarely see, but it straight up kicks ass. It's a slow song, but still manages to be heavy as hell. Not many people can pull that off. No matter what anyone says, this is a great album, and a great song.
