I was doing a skelly fort with my son, and as we were fighting the end boss I saw a brig hanging out nearby, and as soon as the skele cloud disappeared they dropped sails and raced towards us. I grabbed the vault key, and got on my ship and took off. They stopped at the island, apparently thinking I was braindead and opened the vault right away, then tried to chase but I went into some fog and lost them. Managed to loop back around and get the loot after they got bored of trying to catch me. Fun session :D
As a french, that guy at 8:10 told its mates to continue the fort while he was making you retreat. What a disgusting accent we have xD

My friends and I found the 1/10 encounter where the ship parked at a rock near the fort wasn't a tucker last night. The guy was just really new to the game, so I taught them how to do a ghost fort while my crew took care of the skelly fort. The guy was really chill, I hope he likes the game.
We need more Pirates like you Kapitan! I'm new too and have had the blessing of meeting some really nice people.

My friend group follow a self-imposed pirate code. Our number 1 rule is to never hurt new players unless we do it in a funny way or if they provoke us first.

Watched this video the other day.
My friends and I always designate a lookout during events, big or small. A sloop team literally tried the row boat strat on us today as we were grinding skull forts.
Managed to scare them off with a warning shot from the crows nest as my buddies finished the fort.
As we were leaving one of them snuck aboard our brig with a keg and set it off.
Somehow didn’t kill them, or my friends. I was still in the crows nest and it only nicked me.
The boater either jumped or got Blundered off as we sailed off, and we patched the three holes quickly (had plenty of practice fighting megs)
They didn’t chase for some reason, and we sold all our skulls at Sanctuary.
Meric was closer, but we skipped it incase they snuck off and were hiding there.
Thank you for all you do Phuzzy because last night iwasable to nabmy first Plundered Chest o Legends. It was my solo vs an alliance between a gally and brig. I nuked the gally, returned w my ship and hit the Brig. The gally left the brig to fend for themselves and guess who also had the CoLegends? The brig.
What end up happening was I chased the brig through a storm and they ended up getting bitten and wrecked into the unmarked shipwright near fotd. I anchored myself to get cannon shots on them and I sunk them. But I also sunk w the constant rain and pressure I was giving. I had a rowie and rowed the Chest over to an island. It the rush of getting my first chest, I forgot to check for their reaper flag. Ik they had reaper sails but wasn't sure if they were a reaper

They are on another level from most video game sources of info! It's great when you can trust the person giving you information based on the crazy amount of knowledge they have.
Phuzzy’s a good man leaving new players alone. Unfortunately, as a new player on ps5, I’ve not had such luck. I’ve been sunk so much! However, it has sharpened my PvP skills more than I would’ve expected. And typically I’m terrible in PvP such as battlefield or CoD, which I’m no fan of really.
One key aspect where my own PvP skill really and recently soared is with eating during encounters, which was something I wasn’t doing. I mean I didn’t think there was enough time to do so. I watch Phuzzy and noticed how frequently he eats during his encounters and timing while parkouring about the boat. This clicked for me and really upped my game.
I’m trying to glean as much as I can from these vids! They’re informative as much as they are entertaining. Plus the guy’s wildly good!
Tip#1 be a thieving tucking pirate then you will know exactly how people plan to plot on you when youre stacking loot
It just baffles me how as a new ps5 player I can go onto a pc/xbox server and never get anywhere because every single encounter with xbox and pc players besides 4 encounters in 200+ hrs has been bad. No matter how much you plead with them that you are new. Most toxic bunch of people. Cmchildren snd grown children.
Turned off crossplay reluctantlu and saiked the entire day without incident and even some rather friendly encounters.
Why on earth is the sea of thieves pc/xbox community such jerks? I don't understand.
Now I know why back in the day during the dumb console wars people used to say xbots are and act like prepubescent children this includeds pc players because most are cheaters these days.
I know what you mean mate, I used to run into that sort of all of the time. Since about last year, it's been consistently chill on my end, it might be bad luck, it might be your region, I don't know. Just know that that there are tonnes of really nice people playing, don't let a few asshats ruin your fun. When you sink, take it as a learning experience; and I know, that's not easy, I was in your shoes at one point. The best advice I can give, is stop caring, which again I know that isn't easy. Get into fights, learn the games mechanics and before you know it, you'll be able to fight back.
Until then however, I'd recommend antagonising those people. Every time they kill you, tell them how bad they are, especially if they're really good, it will send them up the wall. You might not be able to beat them physically, but you can win the mental battle. Toxic people tend to have little patience, and fragile egos, exploit that. This way even if you do sink, you'll still win, because you're victory will effect them a lot longer than theirs will effect you.
Once the encounter is about to end however, GG them. Give them the impression that you walked away thinking it was a good fight, that'll really bug them. Normally, I don't condone antagonising people, but if they started it, I think you are more than justified.
Just remember, this is a PvPvE game, it's their choice if they sink you, they're not automatically toxic for it. As a rule, I prefer to help people who are newer to the game, but not everyone is so kind. Just try not to take it personally, it's a game.
@@The_Dork_Lord just a real bummer. 200hrs and 5 decent encounters out of 100s on pc servers. It's a joke. I've never quit a game before and all I play is competitive fps typically but this game is a whole new line of people.

ive done all the gilded voyages a few times except merchants because im not that bothered about it and was only bothered by 2 ships one sloop and a galleon the sloop last called a truce once they realise were decent at naval and the galleon gave up because they couldnt keep up with us as they are single use time limited stealing them is a little scummy we had 4 or 5 ships all doing gilded and were happily minding there own business even had a que waiting to sell at the outpost

All you had to do was google where to get chest of fortune then hop servers for that event 😂

Story Time: I was just completing an Ashen Lord event when I got approached by three people and a keg. Apparently, I had parked near a Skelly Fort/FOTF, and I didn't know. After they blew my ship up and started trash-talking, I explained what I was doing, and instead of ingoring me and continuing to be toxic like most do; they ACTUALLY LISTENED. They then bailed the water and repaired while I was getting back from the Ferryman. We then set up an alliance and stacked the FOTF.
Lesson: Be cautious of ships parked an island away but keep an open mind.

I was lucky enough to get into an alliance at the first sale of my gilded voyage. It was mutually beneficial, more of this needs to happen.
Remember. Alliances can be made and broken. Never trust a pirate

I always end up just annoying whatever brigantine is clearing it, circling island while trying to keg and coming back if I sink. If its uncontested then its not as fun imo.
On my fof I just luck out with always being next to port merrick and no one being on the server that cares. However I bury the chest of fortune right away right after blowing up the kegs. Just in case yk.

If someone was sent to your ship the moment you parked nearby how would that have effected you?

Whether you're right or not. Don't worry about it though, better to be paranoid than dead.
@The_Dork_Lord just like a good merchant or Athena emissary. Being paranoid just means you'll have a higher chance of turning a profit in the end

Mermaid doesn't spawn when you are on board any boat, including rowboat, skeleton ships, and player ships

Do you always solo or run two man sloop sometimes? I'm new ps5 player, enjoy your videos, the ones I've watched.
TBH I'm against using curseballs in hourglass, but if they use them this doesn't stop us to use them. When you fight in adventure, against bigger crews that more than justified

What's fun is solo'ing events and then being chased by a 3 man brig for 30 minutes... fighting them off your boat every time you run out of room to go against the wind.... only to have a 4 man galleon cut you off...
Running from a 3 man brig, and the 4 man galleon drops my mast instantly... and I leave the game after a group of little kids tells me I can't drive my ship anymore... they're going to camp me on my boat and use it to go after the brig.. Have not played much since. Something about me spending time gathering things that people will just come take from me isn't fun. Being bullied by some snot nosed kids because you're outnumbered 4 to 1 is not fun. You can get stuck playing against an idiot in pvp and what should be a 3 minute match is like 45 minutes. Good luck sinking that idiot that keeps B-lining straight lines and then anchor turning. After 45 minutes you finally get this little turd burglars mast down and sink the boat to find out they have 0 resources at all... No food... 3 cannonballs left... AHHH MY SPOILS OF WAR! 3 CANNONBALLS FOR SPENDING AN HOUR BETWEEN THE QUE TIME AND THE MATCH! FUN FUN FUN! Let's go solo more events and get ganged up on by crews bigger than yours.

@knyt0 Video games are supposed to be a means of relieving stress. If I play for an hour after my kids goto bed and the entire hour sucks I have no incentive to play more.
All I did was go over a really unenjoyable experience I had and you seem to have taken it personally. It's an interesting tactic to be like "you had a really bad experience in this game? Well that's your fault!" 😆 I didn't play the game all that long but I've got a boatload of stories that involve much more frustration than satisfaction. People tend to be really crappy to one another and if you try and talk to anyone about it they'll tell you the name of the game is sea of thieves.
That story I told earlier about the brig and the galleon.. I went to the brig a few times and talked to them and I'm like guys my kids are sleeping and I'm just trying to get this crap turned in I'm solo we can do an alliance and they're like no, we are bored and want to sink some ships because the hourglass pvp is dead. Same thing with those kids from the galleon that hijacked my ship and spawn camped me. I tried to talk to them but they don't care..
