I think as long as you use the recovery at least once, and make it to the top 7, you still get the mission completed. I believe its mostly based off of damage done as far as team placement goes.

Absolutely! The respawning mechanic makes it so friendly for players as well to just get into the fight right away without having to really worry about their health.
