Unironically, this is what I mean. The skill is knowing how to manipulate RNG and when to take risks with luck. Going for a chance time or a triple to get boo instead of a guaranteed custom for a star paying off is skill.

Well to be fair.
One mechanic I notice about BBB is that the explosion can't be on the same lever two time in a row.
So if it has to reset from no explosion pick the one that was left over from last cycle and you'll be safe.
Ok, but can we talk about the fact that if Sophist locks in, he gets shit done. He is merely using 1% of his powers while playing with the party crashers, he is letting them win

I stand by Sophist being equal to Brent. He just prefers to throw 3/4 of the time.

There's a third element here, besides just Luck and Skill. There's also the Social element.
And I'm not just talking "we're all partying and having fun." But even something as simple as "you, Sophist, and Vernias don't consistently triple team King of Skill" is a major element in who wins the game. If y'all did, King of Skill would go from usually winning to usually losing (although he'd probably get pissed and not play the game with y'all anymore).
Boo Stealing? Y'all got game-shows going on with 'em. "Who to steal from" definitely involves a strong Social element, and y'all have another way of deciding it besides "numerically optimal" or "go random." And y'alls way is neither sub-optimal nor optimal: it's just how y'all play.
And, of course, the ever present, "hey, Nick, you keep saying you love content, why don't YOU go do the Chance Time?" "OK, fine, I will," and then use your Custom Dice to hit chance time. There's little social elements like that that introduce micro-changes to how the game plays out here, there, and everywhere, and said micro-changes aren't simply a facet of Luck of the Dice, or of Skill: they're born of social group dynamics.
Like the Luck, the Social element introduces a strong element of unpredictable chaos in the game, the kind that can't simply create a math algorithm for to find the most optimal solution. (I say this as a math guy: look up 'chaos theory' if you don't know what it is all ready). But it's also not Luck-based chaos: how the Social element plays out is dependent on how each individual acts within the group and its dynamics.
I kind of wish your comment got pinned. It was really intriguing to read and I have to agree with you since most people who play Mario Party play with their friends or family

How Sophist of that one contestant fella to be able to outdo everyone and win the biggest amount of money, if it wasnt for three mistakes: one where he is plain dumb, one where he got super lucky and then randomly backstabbed (classic Eevster), and the one where he got SUPER unlucky against a suposedly more skilled, than lucky player

Mario party is the perfect blend of luck and skill. You could go in and win most of the minigames and have a solid strategy or you could just stumble into victory. the skill elements are balanced in such a way that it definitely gives you an advantage However it doesn't always guarantee you will win.
I mean this was the "To the surprise of absolutely nobody" moment of the day, sophist going to the end just to get obliterated and Brent winning against all hardships is our cup of tea
