The Mummy's Foot (1949)

  • A young writer stumbles across the foot of a mummy that appears to have a strange effect upon him. A modern twist of an older gothic short story by the French writer Théophile Gautier published in 1840.
    Sorry for the bad image and sound. This is from an old-fashioned 16mm film projection and I have not better facilities to digitize this.

    What fun! I loved the Host, Arthur Shields, when he said "I think it's time for another Lucky". as the cut-away to the commercial.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS it is in pretty good shape.. I love these old shows and movies a time when they actually new how to act with not only their vobut body language as well.. Dennis the menace dad .. boy is he young here

    The actor playing the young writer would later be the father of Dennis the Menace.

    The story as written by Theophile Gautier in 1840 was a well-written mystery, while this is a spoof with definite comedic and almost silly aspects.
