This reminds me about a scene in a book i'm writing. In the scene, the communist revolutionaries have besieged the castle and launch an attack. The royal guard fights to buy time while the king escapes with his closest servant and two bodyguards. The king gets away but all the guards die holding the revolutionaries off and the battle is lost.

The song speaks about the gallantry of the 150+ swiss guards (guards of the pope) who defended the pope. I believe it mentions how the guards has to take a secret avenue to get to a castle. The 150+ swiss guards killed over 900 raiders. Im fairly certain this is what the songs about
