  • It's March 2nd and the first tomato seeding of 2024 is ready to be transplanted into the Dutch Bato Buckets. But before that can be done, the final prep work in the greenhouse has to be finished up and the third seeding has to be made.

Really interesting to see all the workings of the hydroponic greenhouse. Those maters are looking really good. Mine are anywhere from just sprouting to about 3 inches tall. Keep em coming

I’ll keep em coming! I saw my first blossom opening today just two days after transplanting! Ordered my first beehive to put in the greenhouse next week. Thanks!

Thx for the video. Nice to see the non growing side of things since it could make such a huge diffrence on a smooth running season, or a season filled with problems.

You bet! March and April are the most stressful months of the year for me because there’s so many moving parts on the farm to get ready for the planting and harvest and selling season. Even though July and August are by far the busiest time of the year There’s less stress because everything is running like a well oiled machine by then.

You will not belive how simple are the green houses in brazil, we just put the plastic film on cover and micro screen ant insects on the sides. No heating, no eletric air circulation. But due to high cost of steel tube, today most green houses are made of eucaliptus wood structure, it only hold 10 years. But its cheap. On high altitute areas, 3000 feet, where its easy to grow greens and vegetables, most small farmers are switching to green house, but not iven close to your in tecnology. You should be really proud of you work, thank you

That sounds more like a high tunnel which is just a single layer of poly covering a simple structure. We used to have a half acres worth of high tunnels, but decided to sell them and add another Greenhouse. It’s amazing what you can grow with a simple structure. Having water and electricity and automation is definitely nice though. thanks!

I commend you for moving away from dairy into veg production! Smart move! There is more money in veg production.
