This one's for sure a little bit different and may be a disaster for views but I had to take a look with it's cult classic status! Thanks for watching, subscribing and liking everyone! EDIT: Seems there's more point & click fans out there like me which is great to see!
I've been following Wadjet Eye for years. Their writing is always solid, and I love their worldbuilding. When they dropped Unavowed on switch I doubled dipped almost immediately. And now Primordia is here too!? You sir have just made my night :)
Thanks for the kind words -- and for objecting to the "reveal all hotspots" button, which was a feature I've always protested against (but was persuaded is a necessity on a console). The two of us may be the only such-minded people in the world, but still, good to know there's another. :)
Love that, I can absolutely see why they would want it but it’s a genre all about curiosity, exploring so yeah it just felt strange. That said, No doubt it’s good for a new generation getting into the genre, I know it can be intimidating. Otherwise loved it, will be checking out Strangeland next over on steam. Hope you have more plans for the switch!
@@SwitchCorner Yeah, IMO it transforms "natural" space into a to-do list, since the presumption is that every hotspot becomes a "must click" rather than an amusing thing to discover as you explore the scene. But with a mouse, the hotspots are easier to find, so I understand the impulse to add some different feature with the controller.
I know I wrote this separately, but I just saw this response, so thought I'd wrote it directly. As somebody who's been playing point and clicks back to the Maniac Mansion/Days of the Tentacle/ Monkey Island/Full Throttle days, I absolutely love the hotspots button being included nowadays. It removes a frustration and allows me to enjoy the game more. And thinking back to it, Grim Fandango had a similar idea, but it was Manny's head that would turn when you walked past something.
Running your mouse back and forth across every screen checking if you missed a few pixels was never fun. It was needlessly frustrating, and the number 1 cause for players getting stuck & quitting. Let your writing & puzzles be enjoyed don't try to pointlessly extend the game by hiding things
Funny enough, I absolutely love how point and clicks now let you know what's interactable. It removes a giant frustration when you look at things constantly and just didn't realize something wasn't background. So that's a plus for me, not a minus.
Yeah nothing was worse in the 90s being stuck for months until you looked it up at the library only to learn it was 3 pixels you never noticed were interactable
So much creativity went into games when they couldn't rely on cutting edge graphics. I love the look of this. £13.49 (UK) for a trip down memory lane is definitely going to earn Primordia a place on my Switch.
Can you do a top 5 or even top 10 of point and click games on the switch? I don't know which ones to buy, and you have reviewed a lot of them and seem a real connoisseur....
Hmmm...this looks interesting and what a good review. I cannot say I will be grabbing this immediately but it is one that I would like to take a closer look at.
Need something a little more involved, there’s a few VNs I enjoy but not can’t say I’m deep into that world, leave that to Jordan, he seems to know everything

I love it! Thanks for being authentic

That’s awesome! I know that strange land was really highly rated!

On behalf of Wormwood Studios, thank you for cursing yourself with point and click content, but for reviewing our game!!
I love the genre, it deserves more love!
The art looks really good. Like a comic book.
Yeah it’s got a great style right
This one went straight to my wishlist just by reading your title.
Wadjet eye games are amazing!
Yeah I’m gonna be checking out some more now!
Added to the list!
Might give this a go.
Great review.
Thanks Nick!

I wish Monkey Island collection would come to Switch.
I would love that too. I wish they would bring the 2 Phantasmagoria games too. I played them last in highschool, and would love to play them again.
Would love to see that! I was happy to see grim Fandango
@@SwitchCorner I forgot that Grim Fandango came to Switch. I need to pick that up
I like Cyberpunk settings!

I can look into it, not sure I've played 10, Thimbleweed, this and Grim Fandango are probably my favorites
Waiting for the Physical version.

Cheers Seven! It will for sure be popping up in future deals videos!
I've played a few of the broken sword games, never any monkey Island though.
My personal favorite is Grim Fandango!
Ah. A point and click game. Not for me. But i do like the visual. Looks kinda like that Darkest Dungeon game but more old school.
Visual novels bro?
@@jumpingbear visual novels? No not for me either.

@@SwitchCorner Jordan? The switch force guy?
Switchwatch, he runs a channel called VN Paradise as well and it’s purely dedicated to visual novels, it’s a relatively new side channel for him
That game has my name written all over. Definitely going to get it (when a good deal comes by).
Nice! I’ll be letting you know in a deals video for sure!
this is your moment, you have 4 hours to get it at a discounted price
