The WRC is the FIA World Rally Championship, a tough motorsport using rally cars on real roads around the world. Watch the best rally drivers battle on gravel and asphalt roads with mud, rain, dust, ice and heat! Watch high speed action as the rally drivers power slide and drift round narrow corners, go flat out over a big jump or through a watersplash, handbrake turn round a hairpin, survive a big moment, or have a massive crash! Rally requires maximum attack and careful tactics to become world rally champion.
Each rally has timed sections called special stages, on closed roads. Drivers complete these stages as quickly as possible. A co-driver reads pace notes that explain the hazards ahead. Rally drivers use the same rally car to travel to each stage on public roads, following normal traffic regulations. The crew which completes all the stages in the shortest time is the rally winner. Championship points are won using the same scoring system as Formula 1. The championship is administered by Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport's world governing body.
Over 30 countries have hosted WRC rallies. Rally Monte Carlo, Rally Argentina, Rally Finland, Rally Portugal, Tour de Corse on Corsica, France, Rally Sardegna on Sardinia, Italy, Safari Rally in Kenya, Acropolis Rally in Greece, Rally New Zealand, Rally Australia, Rally Japan, Rally GB, Rally Catalunya, Rallye Deutschland, Rally Mexico and many more.
Some of the world's greatest drivers have won the FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers, like Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Walter Röhrl, Stig Blomqvist, Petter Solberg, Ott Tänak. The list of world rally champions includes many Finnish rally drivers like Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm, Hannu Mikkola. French drivers have had success with Sébastien Ogier, and 9 times world champion Sébastien Loeb. Famous drivers from other motorsports have come to try rally driving like Ken Block from Rallycross, and Robert Kubica and Kimi Räikkönen from F1.
Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers awarded to the most successful WRC constructor. Winners include Citroen, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Peugeot. Ford have had success with the Ford Escort, Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta when the M-Sport team won in 2017.
The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro.
Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Toyota returned to the WRC in 2017 with the Toyota Yaris WRC, winning in 2018. The 2019 championship was won by Hyundai with the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. Find out about the latest winners and champions at www.wrc.com

Finally, we get to see his real personality. I think the persona he has on race day is probably his “game face”. He usually doesn’t say much and is cold towards reporters. But in this video he seemed more relaxed and talkative. Great video. More like this please!!

Mika Hakkinen, Kimi ... It's all the same, people from those parts don't like cameras :D but it doesn't mean they are cold, once you're in the inner cercle you see the real spark.

Great video. There is so much potential in the WRC, but they just don't care about it. WRC media need a new (maybe younger?) management who can use their power, equipment, and money to make much more different fun content, not just stage videos. WRC could be one of the greatest car channels, they have so much money, and they don't spend anything for making fun content. Stage videos are fun of course, but there could be so much different content... They could make local riports in the country where the actual rally is, with local drivers, garages, teams..., car reviews, etc. There is so many ideas...

I prefer WRC over F1 but the F1 media content is done so much nicer, that I basically only keep up with that. Would be great to see the tree dodgers get some more coverage as well

I would like to comment my personal opinion about "Rllying"...
I am 71 yo and i had the happyness to be "on the mountains" of my Country Greece from my 14 yo...
After some years i "got in the game" as a co driver of some of the fastest rallymen of my country...
It was verry easy for a real fun of rallying to participate not as a profesional but as a real sportsman non profesional , with a well prepared car of low cost and some friends mechanics experianced to give the car not so much speed , but endurance , somthing that many times it was a "must" and enaugh to give you the ability to end the rally with a well prepared Toyota starlet or a Nissan micra 1300 cc in the first 10 places overall !!!... Whith a car verry similar to a normal car we used to go to the office !!!... THAT MEANT A LOT FOR THE BRAND AND THE POTENTIAL BUYERS !!!...
It was a "miracle" for someone non profecional...
S.S's were stages of 15 - 45 kms and there was not any parc ferme to rebuild your car like a new one with a team of 25 people if you had an "exit" somewwhere...
Servise and changing af damaged parts were taking place a few meters before or after a S.S , usually in a marked on a tree or a rock before or after a small bridge somewere near.....nower up on a mountain forest...
Spactators were thousants of people through the villages you had to pass...
Of course , always the winer was a profesional team such as BLMC , VOLVO , TOYOTA , SAAB , FORD, LANCIA , RENAULT , etc...
    But...
YOU , the independed non profesional team , had the chance to finish , if lucky enaugh , even in the first 5 places !!!....
    We come to "NOW"...
PLEASE , tell me the possibilyties of a non profesional team to PARTICIPATE IN A WRC RALLY ?....
WHERE ARE THE BRANDS THAT DISAPEARED FROM "RALLYING" ??...
Where are the LANCIAS , the OPELS , the BMW , the WV and many otlhers ?...
    S.S s of 12 - 18 kms maximum...
THREE in the morning , then service parc for making the car brand new , the same THREE stages in the afternoon and then back to hotel...
    Gentlemen this IS NOT RALLYING...
    IT IS RALLY SPRINT !!!...
    JUST SPEED !!!...
    ONLY SPEED !!!...
My best regards and respect but pls note that....
"RALLYING MEANS RALLYING" and not show to the camera's just for money...
    Thank you very much..

so youre sayiing the only way its worth it to ever buy a hyundai is if it is a 4 wheel drive rally car and not worth it at all since the regular is a 2 wheel drive slow car compared to the other. plus all the people that can so easily steal hyundais cause of hacks from tik tok and the regular cars arent made as well as their rally car.
