I did my first set of DIY boho braids July 2022 and I’ve done 3 sets since then and mine were smedium. I applaud anyone who does smaller braids. My arms started hurting as soon as I clicked on the video 😂 You did that!
This came out beautifully. I just found my summer style. Once the curls start to fall I may plat big sections at night to keep the waves. And since I’m doing it myself I can always touch up pieces as needed to keep it looking fresh.

You are a pro at your craft! I did these braids on myself following your tutorial last weekend and they came out ✨perfect ✨. Took forever though lol but I love them. To prevent tangling I mostly wear it in French braids + bun. Then take down for special occasions.

6 weeks in and the braids are still holding up okay! I realized putting them in French braids was causing too much friction at the nape area causing them to tangle. So I since resorted to a top knot/high bun to sleep and that seems to do the trick. Just wanted to drop this here in case anyone scrolling is wondering how to best take care of them so they last a while (given how long they take to do) ✨😊 PS: I did spray with water at some point plus a *lightweight* hair oil when they got quite tangled/dry and that seemed to do the trick & helped with detangling. But no mousse or any other cream product that could leave residue and cause matting.

It’s been 12 hours and I’ve only done about 1/3rd of my head. Oh! And I just realized you said you got 30inches of the curly hair. I picked the first pack I saw at the beauty supply store, which happened to be be 18 inches. So far, my hair looks amazing!!!! You gave me the motivation I needed but giiiirl!!!!! Knotless braids take forever!!!! And my curly pieces are short, so I need to continuously add! I’m about to cry😂😂😂😂, but did I tell you I look good!!!??? Oh okay! I just need you to know WE are doing it!!!
