I have to say the clarity of this video is better than any I have seen! Also, it’s essential to realize that the first part of the video with the bad makeup and special effects is supposed to look the way it does because it’s meant to poke fun at the horror movies of the 50’s. ❤ When this first came out I remember having to wait all that Friday to see the premier on mtv at 12 midnight.... those were the days it was all the talk for weeks on end.

The thing is, the make-up doesn't look bad. It still looks fantastic.
He was before internet, social media and all cheap platforms where everybody can be what they wanna be without any talent.....he was and is the last global superstar with own signature, style, music, dance, clothes....the whole package.
Even an Beyonce, Usher, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber or Timberlake cant be in his shadow.
Nowadays they cant sing so they rap (easy way to make cheap "music) with all computervoices, same beats, empty lyrics etc....
Look where we are now with they call music....a big shame.

I had to buy my kids the red jackets. They were obsessed with this. The narrator, Vincent Price was scarier. Back in my day he played in most scary movies. If you don’t know him look 👀 him up. 💀

Such a phenomenal music video/short film back in the day. The director, John Landis, and makeup artist, Rick Baker, were the same ones from the 1981 horror comedy "An American Werewolf in London," for which Baker won the Oscar for best achievement in makeup. (Baker has won seven Oscars total, including for "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" with Jim Carrey, "Men in Black" with Will Smith. and "The Nutty Professor" and "Coming to America" with Eddie Murphy. Top-notch talent all-around for the "Thriller" music video.)

I remember waiting enthusiastically for the premier of THRILLER! I still have my vinyl album of MJ’s Thriller!! The reason Michael wore his pants short with the white sox, was so people can see his feet dancing & moving!! Very clever!! MJ’s co-star is a former Playboy Playmate!! “Hee Hee”🧤 Video directed by John Landis!

I watch Michael Jackson's Thriller plenty of timed
I'm in my 60's so I was able to see this when MTV actually was music television. He is and always will be King of Pop. So talented and kind. It always amuses me when I watch a reaction video from these younger guys. I watched one a while back of this same video from someone who said he'd never heard of him! That was a fun reaction!! Great job and great timing! Happy Halloween to you!

A timeless classic! They don't write songs or make music videos like this anymore! The late great Vincent Price narrated that little voice-over in the cemetery and that evil cackle at the end and whose name was on the theater board. In case you aren't familiar with him, he remains a legendary actor known as the "Crown Prince of Horror" next to Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Peter Cushing, Peter Lorre, and Sir Christopher Lee. At the movie theater, there were little Easter eggs of Vincent's movies with posters for "House of Wax" and "The Masque of Red Death". He was famous for playing in haunted/creepy mansion movies and movies based on Edgar Allen Poe's works. He was the inventor in Tim Burton's "Edward Scissorhands" and did the voice of Professor Rattigan in Disney's "The Great mouse detective" among his many famous roles.
And egghead in Batman.

He was brilliant, so talented. I loved his music. I didn't believe all the rumors until I saw the Oprah special after his death with some of his victims. That was devastating. I now find myself having trouble separating the music from images of his victims but there is no denying he was a musical genius. Thanks, HAP.

Perfect timing! Reaction came out on Halloween 🎃. I've never seen the video. At the beginning, with her in her poodle skirt and him, it reminded me of Danny and Sandy in Grease 😂.
