    About a week ago I wanted to get a review of the Asus Phoenix RTX 3050 before ordering it. Your video didn't show up in any of my searches as it doesn't have the word Phoenix anywhere in the title or description. I am very glad I stumbled on this review via CZcams's recommendations, but you might consider including search terms in the video description for future videos? Thanks for the review! Looks like I'll be happy I ordered this!

    I got lucky on launch day through the shuffle and got one of the Asus single fan 3050s as well. It will eventually end up in a production/work system, but we threw it in a meshify c with a 12400/b660 setup just for fun. Good little card that ran smooth, cool, and quiet. After watching some other reviews, this Asus single fan unit seems to be quieter than some of the dual fan setups - and might even be better than some thermally. My best guess is that the heatsink on the Asus might have more overall mass than the heatsinks on some of the dual fan units - it kinda looks like a smaller version of the 3070/80 tuf heatsink, and those things are beefy! Overall, very happy with it - especially at msrp, of course.

      hey, do u have this sound 5:34 too ? i have exactly this sound on my asus phoenix rtx 3050 single fan gpu card. and i thought it was coil whine and i can hear this sound like 3.5 meters from the case.

    Heaven Benchmark utilizes very little VRAM in my opinion, being itself a decade old and lacks the polygons to push for higher VRAM usage. I'd suggest doing at least SuperPosition for that, which will result in better benchmark accuracy as VRAM usage does contribute to the total thermal of the Card.

      Also I would not how awful that scene in particular looks, you can get a lot higher memory load by raising the resolution and maxing the MSAA options. It's still a good backup for DX11 testing.

      i think its more of a matter of "everyones does it so you have comparitive numbers to work with" reasoning

    1050 ti,1650 super or it,and rtx 3050 they do not really need a second fan because they consume so little energy

    Good day sir ,and Sorry for my bad English hihi.
    Is it okay to place a side plate on this card,will it be safe covering the tip of the heat pipes?
    Just trying to cover up the metal part of it,cause mine is so messed up🤣.

      yeah i saw this vid and decided to buy it, fan is very loud not sure what to say. I considered that it also might be contact between fan and shroud.

      Me 2 i watched this video and then did buy one.. now in IDLE i have very loud noise same as in full load... there seems to be some issue when the Driver is loaded that the GPU will not go under 30% fan speed even on lowest temp in IDLE which is loud. Fuck this Video

    • @alfonrahmadi9737

      Depends on the app actually. Out of the box, it draws 127 W maximum. For 1080p 60 fps gaming it pulls 90 W on average (Hi-Ultra sett with dlss set at quality). With my r7 1700, ssd + hdd, and 5 12 cm fans, it pulls under 400 W from the wall. Very efficient upgrade from my old rx 580 imo.

    • @doomtomb3
      @doomtomb3 Před 2 lety

      Card draws 130W at 100%. My entire system doesn't exceed 200W under most demanding games. I'm using a 450W SFX power supply

    • @alfonrahmadi9737
      @alfonrahmadi9737 Před 2 lety

      @@doomtomb3 can confirm this. That 400 W i mentioned earlier was measured when i did some soldering stuff, it comes at 203 W without it

    i have to choose this (one fan model) for 420$ or dual fan model for 556 $. which one make sense. i have 450 $ right now but i can save money for another 2-3 months. i have atx case btw.

      Buy single fan model and add 2-3 cabinet 120mm fans... it'll be balanced...(Go with Asus, MSI)

    • @TechBuild
      @TechBuild Před 2 lety

      Save money and wait for a bit. GPU prices are coming down and soon you will be able to get a dual-fan 3050 for a better price.
