Papagaio-verdadeiro. Nome Científico: Amazona aestiva, Nome em Inglês: Turquoise-fronted Parrot. Classe: Aves, Ordem: Psittaciformes, Família Psittacidae. Conhecido também por: Curau, Papagaio-comum, Papagaio-de-fronte-azul, Papagaio-baiano, Trombeteiro (MT), Papagaio-boiadeiro, Ajuruetê, Juru-etê e Louro. Alimentação: Sementes e frutos. Distribuição Geográfica: Ocorre em todas as Regiões Brasileiras, porém muito raro na Região Norte do País. Ocorre também no leste da Bolívia, Paraguai, até o norte de Argentina.

Existem Aves Que São Livres Mesmo Na Casa de Um Tutor. Tem Caso Que Ela Apareceu no Sítio ou Em Uma Residência. Ele Pega Amor Tão Grande a Família Que Cuida Dele Que Ele Se Recusa a Ir Embora. Vive Solto Sem Gaiola. As Penas das Suas Asas Não São Cortadas, Come Alimentos Saudáveis, Faz Alegria a Família Que Cuida. E SE RECUSA A IR EMBORA. Tem Caso Que a Família Traz Para da Um Passeio Em São Paulo e Volta Para o Sítio. Existe Uma Reciprocidade Entre a Ave e Seu Tutor. Saudações.

Do you know what subspecies these Amazona aestiva are? Are they _Amazona aestiva aestiva_? _Amazona aestiva xanthopteryx_? Something else? I would very much like to know. You could probably figure it out by finding a range map of the various subspecies of blue-fronted Amazon.

hello, the difference between them it's the coloring of the wings, the aestiva has red feathers among the green ones and the other has yellow. at one point of the video they lift their wings and you can see they have mainly red feathers, they could be a mix of both since you can also see some yellow feathers when the wings are resting. sorry for my poor english, hope i helped u
A. a, xanthopteryx is from Chaco region......the most beautiful ones came from Salta region......the high land Chaco..........on the lower Chaco came the ones with less yellow...............A. a.aestiva came from Cerrado region.............and there´s another variant that came from Caatinga...specially the region of Uauá in Bahia State in Brazil...the same region of Spix macaw...and Lear´s........they also nest on Lear´s Macaw cliffs.......this variant have light green color.......and the yellow on the head extends to the throat..........4 well definied variats....but only two decribed....(A. a. xanthopteryx) from lower Chaco........and (A. a . aestiva) from Cerrado region....
