From Grimm Season 1, Episode 13 'Three Coins in a Fuchsbau': When a botched robbery ends in murder, Nick and Hank must search for rare coins. Meanwhile,a friend of Aunt Marie's shows up with information about Nick's family.

In conclusion: Nick’s mom Kelly was being targeted 18 years ago because of the coins, though she survived, but not her husband and best friend. That’s why she has to give Marie her son Nick to protect him, and Marie broke up with her boyfriend to take the responsibility.

I'm wondering if this was why Nick's mom had such a nasty reaction to meeting Monroe and Rosalee when she came back? Did she hate that her sister had been in love with a Wesen that much? I mean, a lot of Wesen consider it a kind of betrayal just to be dating across species lines, much less to be friends with a Grimm. Makes you wonder if the prejudices run as deep on the other side, too...

The last we hear of them was in an e-mail from Kelley saying that she couldn't destroy them because there was too much going on so she had to hide them somewhere. I can also see that Claudius would have done likewise to his nephew, and Gaius Babyboots would have confiscated it from Claudius, and Agrippinila would have retained it for Nero as a patrimonial object of the Caesars, legitimizing his claim to the throne unsing his adopted name as Claudius’ heir, Nero Claudius Caesar, instead of his birth name, Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus. I am thinking way too hard about this silly TV program.

Okay, first of all: There was NO GREEK EMPIRE!
Before Philipp of Macedonia (Alexander's father), Greece consisted of several minor states, each speaking their own variety of classical Greek, states like Attica, Thebes, Messenia, Lakedaimonia, Rhodos, etc.
When Philipp conquered almost all of Greece (with the exception of Pelloponesos-Peninsula), ol' Phil's empire was called the Macedonian Empire (cuz he was Macedonian), and it was still the Macedonian Empire under his brat-son Alexander the "Great".
When the Alex the Megalomaniac finally bit the dust, the empire was split amongst his generals into Diadoch-Kingdoms, later the descendants of Seleukos, the Seleucids, conquered much of it, so it was called the Seleucid Empire, after the Roman conquest it was part of the Roman Empire and after the Empire-Split, it was called the Eastern Roman Empire or Byzantine Empire (where most people, including the Imperial Family spoke Greek).
So, there never was a "Greek Empire", I don't know, why people sometimes try to claim that, that's just history-ignorant bs...
