Dieselklassiker im Ruhrgebiet 2018/German vintage diesel locomotives

Dieselloks der Baureihen V 160, V 100, 218, V 60 und V 200 unterwegs im Ruhrgebiet im November/Dezember 2018. Am 01.12.2018. sollte der Sonderzug von Bremen nach Aachen ab Hagen mit der Dampfok 01 150 bepannt sein. Aufgrund einer Entgleisung der 01 wurde die V 160 002 für die gesamte Tour eingesetzt. In diesem Film werden in Bochum die Loks 218 472-2 und 261 671-2 in der Dunkelheit des frühen morgens am 08.12.2018 gezeigt sowie V 200 033 in Essen-Steele und bei den Sonderfahrten im Ruhrtal bei Sturm und Regen.

Weather condtions on 8th December were "perfect" as it threw it down merrily with storm-force winds that had blown a tree across the line on the Ruhr Valley Railway. The tree was removed in a short space of time for quick resumption of Santa Specials on 9th December.

Some great classic diesel sounds. V160 002? Good to see that still running. that sounds like a Maybach. And 212 007, another very early one.
