You can't understand the emotions if you haven't watched the complete drama. It is indeed sad but right ending. The dialogues were so beautiful. Every drama written by Khalil ur Rahman Qamar is worth watching

This guy is known in the pakistani industry to always come with bad endings. He makes you love a particular character and kill it in the end, Danish in Meray Paas Tum Ho and Afzal in Pyare Afzal. If you watch dramas which was written by others writers, you will find a huge amount of good endings aswell

It's not a sad ending. Pakistani dramas focus on a practical ending. He's a great guy but he killed so many people. There's a poetic justice for wrong doing even if you're an awesome character.

Afzal murdered 12 people and the end is what now we called karma.even if he not got murdered in last episode he had to pay for his sins in some manner like by getting jailed.and yes you can say that it was a very tragic love story.
