Great video. I would also add fresh paint or plastics.

Agreed 100%! I bought a 2004 YFZ 450 running for $1,000 a few years ago. It had a very loose chain and no case saver. I decided to take it on a “trail test ride”. On my last swing through I really got on it and w in 5 minutes the chain snapped and knocked a hole in the case. Stupid on my part.

hey fun going fast. I have a concern i want to confide in you yet. these yfz 450s, many youtube content creators say the clutch is a ticking time bomb, they claim to say the clutch basket is no good. Im just asking you if that would be a good idea to swap out the factory basket for a hickson clutch. I have a 2024 yfz450r by the way. Would really appreciate your help because im scared on if my brand new bike's clutch will explode and ill have to jump thousands of dollars just to fix it and im scared to invest in such an expensive clutch, id really appreciate your help on this. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

Hello. That sounds a little hyped up maybe. I guess if you were a god-awful shifter, and you dumped the clutch at full throttle on pavement constantly, maybe your dragracing or motocross Ing all the time it could be a problem? But it’s a slipper clutch that Yamaha designed and it’s an amazing and easy to use piece of equipment. And Yamaha has been making these quads forever and they just keep going. I would just ride it and see how it goes. And if something crazy happens, and your clutch goes out. I don’t see how that could damage anything else and clutch plates aren’t that expensive in the grand scheme of things. I would just ride it, have fun, but use some common sense, and I bet you will be fine.
