Turning a Sportster into a Touring Machine - Part Six Drilling Exhaust (Remove Baffle)
Stock exhaust are usually quiet. You can blame the government and it's mandates. You can blame manufacturers wanting more of your money making you buy accessory exhausts. Or you can blame engineers. But one of the first things most people do with their bikes is replace the exhaust system. Though historically many of us just drilled the plug or removed the baffles.
Today I'm taking the cheap route. One $8 drill bit and a little time to make my bike sound closer to how it should.

I put a set of drag pipes on my 09 1200c it ran like crap stuttered backfired popped the bike dodnt like them at all so i put the stock pipes back on and it ran like butter i had to reset the ecm now it runs like butter

ya they like a little backpressure but I'd of thought an ecm reset woulda fixed for drags.
