i think a system like in terraria where you have an armor and an clothing slot would be nice and give the new clothes more of a use

i just got into the game and i said word for word to a buddy a couple days ago "the one thing i think this game needs is vanity items like Terraria" after i bought the yule hat from the merchant. I want to fashionscape my fenris hood while still getting the armor stats from my drake helm goddammit.
You forgot the fact that they drop boss heads, and after you get 1 of each type of chest, any of the same type can not be handed in, however it can be displayed at your base
Nice video. Its always nice seeing how other people deal with new bosses. I had not played the Hildir public test or watch videos, I only started playing Valheim again this week for the new content. Below was my experience on these bosses going in blind.
Howling Boss: I used a crossbow , did the same thing 1 shot the sleeping mobs. Demolisher for the bats. And I was lucky the boss was behind a door on a level all by himself. Whats more he came out, followed me but could not get up a ledge. I stood there shooting my crossbow in his face, so you can use the terrain to defeat this boss.
Smouldering Boss: Just did what I normally did clearing crypts. Demolisher for the win. Boss, led back to entrance where he cannot get up the ledge and shot him with my Crossbow.
Tower bosses: I guess that I had to build up as I could not squeeze through the windows, there was a balcony but it was almost at the top. As I build up on each level I can see fulings including the roof. Demolisher for the win. Repaired my build ups each time I used demolisher, but pretty much cleared the tower before reaching top. As I descended inside the tower, I used demolisher through the staircases to get rid of any stray fulings I missed. When I got to the bosses, yep demolisher at the bottom of the stairs, you can peak the corner to aggro the boss and repeat, both bosses killed the same way.
I do think Demolisher is a bit of a cheat code in this game. They should make it so the damage does not go through walls unless the walls break. Then again it is fun, Feathercape + Demolisher gliding onto a target and smashing them to oblivion. Satisfying.
I can NOT believe I never saw the table option that shows the boss locations. Thanks!
Nice video. I will add: for the sealed tower, as you climb up throw oozebombs into the windows or even against the wall and it should clear a lot of enemies. Fireball Staff is also amazing inside the tower. Also while climbing zigzag back over your previously built ladders incase you fall. There's tons of iron in the tower with all the gates and cage walls you can destroy. Find a window and chuck the metal down to the ground to them pick up afterwards
Thanks for the guide! I did all 3 mini bosses and returned the chests... for now I have had 1st and 2nd boss raids inside my base, normal raids come outside my base and it's easy to defend since my base is relatively safe, but I think these spawn straight inside and both times while I've been peacefully cooking 😅during the 2nd boss raid I took off with my boat and they swam a bit after me and when I was coming back they were all gone, I was confused, I was away only to quickly eat and heal and coming to back to fight them😂
Bit late to the party, but you can also parry shaman fireballs
I'm curious to see what the new raids are like. I haven't seen hardly anything about them and they seem NASTY! Especially the fuling boss one.
Do you know if the devs are planning on adding any increase in inventory space? I know the megingjord increases total weight but we are still very limited in slots. At least give us a lunch box or knapsack we can store our 3 food types in. Even the 3 extra slots would be nice

Fire resistance mead works well with Zil.

with so much clothes and armor now. would be nice to if you could click an armor stand, and do a full auto armor swap kinda thing.
If you don't mind modding there's a mod for that called "Useful Armor Stands Update" and it works well for me.
Try defeating with a Bronze mace instead as she is in Black Forest biome, would be a bit more fair.
Now Hildir doesn't spawn only in the meadows, in my world she's in the swamp
i love all the new tweaks they added BUT its alot of work for ugly cloths IMO

I hope ppl that made this game will get over what got to their head in terms of popularity and holding on some ephemera judgements like 'we do everything small' 'we dont need good animation/graphics cuz ppl play anyway'; hey, we play knowing it's unfinished, they gave us something, we supported in full, just make it smoother and less glitchy already, it feels they are just adding stuff and not polishing what else there was, I've noticed some mods that are crazy good, like just get those ppl onboard it's clearly they funnel their passion in the same area. geesh, it needs just a jolt to fall, that jolt can be too much time between actual improvement, combat, quality of life, world, build etc.

i personally think the minibosses are to weak. Maybe buff their damage and let the third minibosses attack independently from each other
This update is so small, the new clothes are dresses and I doubt they will get used by anyone, I cant belive they took so long to bring it out, build and animation talk, they've used the same characters, so no work there, except colour change, the only task they had was the coding of it, can't belive it took em so long to release, disappointing if anything, all that wait for 4 old character bosses.
Content on this game is so lame and time wasting, ashland is going to be so long coming out, I am bored of the game and lack of content.
Once u kill the bosses in valheim your game play is actually over, u just can build and that's it.
Ashlands is looking pretty good though. TBH, a lot of stuff in the game you don't really need. You don't really need meads or potions for the most part. And if the only thing keeping you playing the game is the bosses then you kind of need more than that.
You could literally build a small base that isn't extravagant at all and then just build portals and you could even skip the mountain biome and go straight to the plains and you'd be just fine.
The extravagant building is completely optional. You can literally beat the entire game with just regular Wood housing.
Yes it would be nice for updates to come out faster but the point of the game really is not just only the bosses but building some really nice bases
In my beloved Valheim World she did not spwan, cause all 10 possible points had been revealed already, but i got help withe "location command" and so i could spawn her camp, all the positions of the Minibosses had not been reveald before and so i can habe almost 100 percent of the content at last. I am happy. So do not give up, if she didn´spwan. There ist help with the console commands, if you know how to use them.
