Growing Up in Rural America, 1930s-1970s

Short documentary about what it was like to grow up in rural America between the 1930s and 1970s. First-hand interviews with Bob and Jean West of Fairhaven, Ohio about the introduction of electricity, water, and indoor plumbing, and the replacement of horses with farm machinery. Discussion of how a Miami University job transformed family's finances and enabled college educations for the children, and how the family overcame health crises, farm injuries, and fires.
