Love the tip about reaching,I am having to do just what you are doing cleaning some brush and small trees to install a chicken fence on my property. Thanks brother another good one. đâ„ïž
Buckin it's wonderful to see how mutch ya care for your fellow human being. All the hard work , the integrity, humility, inspiration, Kindness, Love you project to all of us. That's what I think. Be safe, Love ya brother.
I had a day of relaxing today, trimming my forest with Jonsered clearing saw. Now at evening, whats more realxing than to watch a vid from BuckinÂŽ? :) Thanks, always so uplifting! :)
while kibbling and limbing, I have always held the saw close and let my legs and hips carry it , I thought people would think me lazy... I appreciate the insight. It just always felt better to not hold the saw outstretched and I sense I have far better control over the tip of the bar that way, and prefer the bigger saw for that job over the small saw.. I think I'll try the square file on my little saw now that the chain has a third of it's life left, I am stoked to learn it, I've heard you mention square filing before but now seeing the close up it makes a lot of sense. Thanks brother, I'm ever grateful for your approach... I have been learning to give kindness a try.
I do this all the time. I use my diesel powered truck like a skidder and pull whole trees out to be cut up. Even in a "yard setting" to make the clean up easier, as long as the ground will allow it to be done. I refer to this as working smarter, not harder. If equipment will do the job, then why do it by hand?
Thanks for the tips on containing limbs. Headed to a buddies this week to to some tree work. This will come in handy for sure. Love ya brother and thank you. đČâ€ïžđČđđȘ
Never underestimate the power of the hand pruners...đ My go to tool of numerous pruning work. Great to see Buckin shoulder working the loppers. The hand saw can easily put the shoulders into tired pain mode quickly. But..." It's not work if you call it a workout" đČđȘâ»ïž

I've learnt to square file. Thanks to you Mr bucken and the Iron horse. But i still love the gullet. The round file will handle more grit from dragged logs. See Mr bucken. We are listening. Well i am. And thriving from it. Cheers from Tasmania.
really appreciate the pointers , not sure they do me much good but it sure makes sense . i too tend to reach and guess what i get a sore neck in the back ..strain by not using the brain i guess we could call that . Get better Buckin . You lift a lot of spirits just being you.
Great place to grow up and learn by playing out and about! Just one question Buckin; The yellow bushes in the video along the logging roads (is it Scotch broom you call it?) In Europe we have it as a native addition covering the woodland verges and heathland but i see it is more like a terrible runaway weed in BC? Again great footage from your stumping groundsđđđ
Understand the shoulder recovery. I still canât throw with mine but itâll handle the work at least. Been years now.. your chain doesnât pull those small limbs bad at all. Got your chains down
I got dressed in a 3pc suit & tie for Church last yesterday, got 1/3 of the way there & my bike chain popped. I walked it home & the 1st thing a friend said was "I can't wear my boots with a suit & tie". No idea why not.
Outside of the part of your life where you where trying to drink Canada Dry you've had a pretty nice place to grow up and out. Very few places in N America any prettier than PNW especially the island and the water I love that smell also. take care
Wow I feel you.. Long bar look awesome in the branches.. But no I'll stay short bar..cuz the cost and time it take with long bar to much. But am 45 no back pain. Maby older
I have been unable to pull the rope on a power saw since I had a intestinal cancer surgery on the 10th and still have a belly full of Staples. I am still tearing power saws apart fixing then and putting them back together the small ones I can lift anyway and some bigger ones I get someone else to put on the bench for me lol. As a working man it makes you feel so useless at times. But when the DR's cut threw your abdomen which is your core it knocks you down a peg or two. I was in my shop 4 days out of surgery cleaning parts and making a game plan of what projects I could still do and as I looked around and realized what I couldn't do I sat down on my stool laid my phone on the bench propped it up on a roll of solder that I used to check squish and pulled up CZcams and watched a few of your videos for inspiration I guess. I also am not one to complain it's life you know you just roll with it. When you're hurt your hurt no one can wave a wand and fix it so there ain't no point in bellyaching to other about it like you said you just lick you wounds and move on. Anyway I'm getting off track my whole point is your videos lift people up make them get out and do things. Thank You for making this videos we can watch when we are also beat down and trying to get back up. Watching you pull that 371 and hearing her bark to life did my soul a lot of good thank you for that brother! If something I miss and I can't quite do it yet but I will shortly the 371 needs a new case maybe I can get someone to put that up on the shelf since I've had the new case for over a year and just haven't got around to it plus the old one is all glued up and functional. The 385 XP is on my bench right now stripped all the way down for a new piston and rings possibly a little Port work and then on its way back together I can't wait till I'm able to pull on the ropes of either of these power saws. Thanks again this video did me a lot of good I think you know what I'm trying to say is that there is no words that can thank a fella enough who puts out videos with words and content that you need to hear and see at the moment in your life's journey.
