    Nice shots, well-produced video. If I can offer a bit of constructive criticism, though, I found it frustrating that you chose to surround your photos with acres of white screen. I would like to see them full-screen, or as close as possible given the difference between 4x3 and the video format. I again think you took some nice photographs on your maiden voyage with medium-format film, especially the one in the record store. But they aren’t much bigger than a contact sheet here, which defeats the purpose of the large negatives. Go big!

      I appreciate it feedback!!! I will say that when I made this video I just started and I now realize that I could have made the photos bigger. But I’ve learned!!! Again thank you for watching and for the feedback!! It’s good to hear that I’m thinking what other people think as well😂

    im having a hard time metering on my Mamiya 645. I use the AE prism finder but my images keep coming out hit or miss. I was wondering what aperture and settings your shooting on in most of these? Thanks

      Jonathan Hanks dude first of all, killer photos on your Instagram. Those fashion portraits are 🔥🔥🔥
      And I don’t remember that much of what my settings were, other than I was metering Portra 400 @200 and usually keeping my f stop kinda wide ranging from 3.5-8
      I don’t have the AE finder as you saw so I used and app called Lightmate
      It’s more of a spot meter but I usually meter for the shadows/mid tones and most of the photos turned out great!!
      Hope this helps!!

    Great images mate. They look perfect.
    Were this scanned with a scanner or with a camera? Did you edit them a lot? Sorry for the questions.
    Thanks a lot and keep up the great work.

      Thanks man!!! I sent my film to The Darkroom to get developed and scanned. The only editing I did was lift the shadows in the photo of the record store and the photo of my birthed between the two pillars things!! Other than those, those were straight scans!!

      @@jubileesantosfilm but the new one ain't THAT expensive... You can find it on eBay for $600 easy... Or under $500 if u spend a little time... I don't know why I'm complaining lol. Just ignore me... Lol

      Mr Fox much appreciated!!! The only ones I edited was the shot in record store and the shot of my brother between the massive structures. All I did was lift the shadows!! The rest were straight scans!!

      Jubilee Santos also, do you know if rz67 lenses work with 645 bodies? Thanks

    • @jubileesantosfilm
      @jubileesantosfilm Před 4 lety

      Mr Fox they don’t unfortunately! The RZ and RB use a bellows system to focus instead of use a focusing ring

    • @stonepillowband
      @stonepillowband Před 4 lety

      Jubilee Santos oh yeah! I get it, I've been watching so many vids about the 645 and Rz67 lately to decide which one suits me better that I'm losing my mind. Some people say that to really find a difference between 35 to 120 the 645 it's not enough. Would you agree? Do you think that the 67 are that much of an improvement from the 645?

    • @jubileesantosfilm
      @jubileesantosfilm Před 4 lety +1

      Mr Fox I haven’t shot with a 67 camera yet (although im getting a RB67 very soon) but I saw a significant difference in the detail of scans between 35 and 645. They’re both great but the 645 had less grain, more detail, and overall looked better!! As far as 67 scans, from what I’ve seen, they are better than 645. They have way more detail and overall are sharper than 645.
      It really comes down with what you want in a medium format camera
      645- roughly 15-16 shots, smaller cameras and great intro to medium format or a carry around medium format camera
      67- about 10 shots, bigger cameras, heavier, but higher resolution photos
