Love your work and love your humour.
I've finally received my RE650 Interceptor 8-months after ordering it (COVID delays and getting stock all the way to New Zealand) - but it has been worth the wait. As a one-time motorcycle mechanic (Japanese machines), I've owned many bikes in my time. Your videos along with one or two others, were instrumental in convincing me to get my first non-Japanese machine. All I can say is...Thank you. I love my new Interceptor - it could do with more power, and the seat was designed by a medieval torturer, but it is still a joy to ride an operate. Light (feels much lighter than it is) with light and smooth controls, and perfectly balanced and predictable handling. Like you, I love the bike's simplicity and ease of maintenance (one of my reasons for buying). I have watched all your videos and will continue to do so. Always great advice without any hint of "know-it-all" - when you express your opinions, you make it clear they are YOUR opinions, and you don't expect everyone to think the same - which, to me, makes any suggestions or advice you offer, worth listening to. Thanks again. Ride safely.

It's not a performance bike, as you have said in one of your videos, something which is completely true, but this bike is so good and fun to ride; and it's quite easy to ride as well. I'm looking forward to receive my saddlebags and their supports, allowing me to go on holiday with my Classic 500😄

I luv my Interceptor.... as for my Bullet... it's attached to a Cozy sidecar and I've never ridden a solo 500. But I tell fellow riders it's a honest motorcycle that does old school with a bit of modern reliability.

I was considering buying a new RE Interceptor here in the USA at $5999, but I could not find any nearby dealers that would make me a decent deal. I ended up buying a 2011 Triumph Bonneville SE from the Harley Davidson dealership where I work. It was a trade with about 9200 miles and I gave $3650. It had some nice Triumph nylon touring bags (which I removed for now) and some crap Emgo shorty mufflers when I got it. I bought a NICE set of Bassani mufflers with my Covid stimulus money.

I rode a friends Classic Bullet here in Spain at a concentracion a few years ago..... My Triton was having general overall at the time...Of course the Bullet had nothing like the Umph! of the 650 'Trumpet' engine, but thats not what the Enfield is about is it.. In general a concentracion travels at a modest speed anyway so in many ways the Enfield was better suited than the Triton, which looked the 'bollox' but was a bit of a pain when riding ..... stop-start....through villages, bearing in mind its hot as well. I can appreciate your attraction for this little bike, it just lopes along the road effortlessly ...its a 'Just go for a Ride Bike'....sometimes thats all you want to do...Greetings from España.

One of the nicest bike collection, not only because of the bikes you have got, but also because of the condition they are in. I must say I'm jealous of the classic 500 chrome. I had my first bike when I was 18. It was a Pulsar 220 from Bajaj (another manufacturer in India). I was young and sports bikes with fairing were the things I had my heart on. 10 years later, I finally booked a continental GT 650 last month. I would have bought 500 in a heartbeat if they were available for sale. I'm just inspired by the way you take care of your bikes. Looking forward to more content. ♥️

You have a wonderful collection of rides, Stu. My thought on motorcycles are akin to tools in a tool box: each ride is unique so choose the motorcycle that best suits it. Having halved the flock to three, the joy brought by the remaining motorcycles has increased as they each are receiving more attention. Our Ural is the heavy lifter as it is our dog’s main ride (solid biker dog through and through). Our two Royal Enfields are for those longer rides where coffee shops and scenery are more important that the destination.

I have the same damage on the sprocket cover of my T120, although, in my case... I did it myself. It's a very easy thing to do, apparently. My guess is that the zipper on my (old) boots is somewhat exposed when I'm sitting on the bike and my jeans naturally ride up a bit, and that the scratching comes from the zipper rubbing against the cover. Either way, I'd love to see a video on how to fix it.

She has no problem with your presentation technique, my watching your videos religiously since discovering your channel, or the fact that I now have a classic 500 with a number of your suggested modifications/accessories. No, her complaint lies with the fact that despite my subscribing to your channel and being a regular viewer my hair remains the same silvery white colour it has been for a long time. Whilst she does not seek compensation for this failing, she does feel that you should not falsely build up the hopes of all the long suffering partners who overheard the remarks at the start of this video. Me, I’m happy to just have hair. Keep up the good work.

Your experience with Triumph must have been very disappointing. At about 1k miles, my immaculate T100 gear selector failed. While not a quick fix, the supplying dealer stripped the box, forwarded to Triumph who deemed the failure a manufacturing fault. The machine was returned to me with all parts, fluids and labour completed under warranty with absolutely no quibble. I just hope it doesn’t fail again. I’m loving the ride - save for a desire to fit progressive springs in the front forks).

Stuart, greetings from Canada. Thank you again for producing such an informative and educational channel. As an older rider I really love the retro look of your RE 650’s. Dealers in Canada are few and far between but once our lockdown is over I hope to get out and see them in the flesh. Who knows, maybe next year I will buy one?

Ahhh it must have been attributed to watching your channel... I'll keep watching 👀 and riding... miracles do happen. Cheers 🍻

your garage is just lit. If I had them i would keep em inside my house as showpiece furniture. I still have an ancient RE Bullet from the 80s, when it came with an oddly placed kickstarter and gear lever, made me hell of a mechanic and it does have an attitude.

Hi Stuart thank you for the warning regarding spontaneous hair growth and colour change. It is true that a being a man of a similar age to your self I have noticed that since watching your channel I have been able to maintain my full flowing head of hair, however I have experienced a decline in hair colour however I will still stay subscribed as watching your channel is worth the trade off.

Excellent state of the collection video Stuart - some really gorgeous bikes there! I'm really looking forwards to what you have to say about your new RE Continental. Hope your back is better very soon, and you must enlarge on what Barbour International is writing to you, we all love a bit of delicious scandal- so now you've mentioned it I'm afraid you're morally obliged to spill the beans 😉

Once you get hair peice it's with you for ever....... so I'm told. Had many bikes for 49 years including 1968 175 bsa, fireblades, pan Europeans, 2 strokes etc lots of track days and yet my royal enfield 650 interceptor is the most pleasant easy ride bike I've ever had.

Well i would have no qualms visiting the barber once a week if you upload your awesome content everyday😜😜.One suggestion that id like to give to you ,that headlight assembly which has come installed on your GT650 is an upgraded version for the twins and its a lot better in beam throw than the frosted one ,you should consider it @stuartfillingham. I got my interceptor upgraded with that headlight assembly ,i even got it on my GT535 and its quite better than the frosted glass one. The old school single cylinder push rod engine on the bullet is also shared on my old GT535 which is a bored out version of the 500 and inspite of owning the interceptor i still enjoy riding the GT535 more ,aptly said its the most fun bike to own and ride everyday. Sorry for the long post cheers🥂

Yep....couldn't agree more. My bullet is my favourite bike too. Only problem I've had in a year's ownership is the sla battery going off despite being maintained but that was dealer not factory supplied. Recently added a early Hinckley triumph as my tinker project and hopefully investment. Despite where triumph are now as opposed to early years, I've just got to have one in the stable. Nope....I'm still as bold as a coot 👍
