There is literally ZERO evidence or hints in the game that indicate that Finlay is the same cleanrot as in the trailer. They don't even use the same weapons. I still wouldnt call it a stalemate. Radahn kept fighting afterwards. Its likely finlay wasnt the last one of the battlefield but just the one to leave with melania. Otherwise theyd just have been killed as they ran by radahns army. So there had to be more cleanrot knights left to defend the retreat. radahn is also clearly still capable of fighting even after years of enduring the rot, so he probably still continued to kill melanias army even after the bloom, especially since rot doesnt emmediately take away someones sanity. So its more like melania got beat and was able to still get a good blow on radahn that took a lot longer to fully cripple him and even then he wasnt actually crippled physically.

Much like is dark souls, a lot of stuff about the gods is basically propaganda. Im sure she tried, but the only people we see her black knives actual kill is Godwyn, a defenseless troll, and a guy who likes puppets. The other people she attempts to kill using them all fail (like the black knife outside of the queens bedchamber mostlikely sent to either kill Godfrey or Morgott)

Bro I don't get how anyone thinks this was a stalemate ever. At best they both lost which isn't what a stalemate is and at worst Malenia lost and Radahn won after huge losses
a stalemate is when both players no longer have any viable moves but neither has achieved victory, resulting in the end of a match. so it fits pretty well.

By the way I see it, if you need to be dragged away while your opponent is still standing you lost.
If your opponent is winning by such a margin that your suicide move is suddenly reasonable to use against them to beat them, you lost.

I still wouldnt call it a stalemate. Radahn kept fighting afterwards. Its likely finlay wasnt the last one of the battlefield but just the one to leave with melania. Otherwise theyd just have been killed as they ran by radahns army. So there had to be more cleanrot knights left to defend the retreat. radahn is also clearly still capable of fighting even after years of enduring the rot, so he probably still continued to kill melanias army even after the bloom, especially since rot doesnt emmediately take away someones sanity. So its more like melania got beat and was able to still get a good blow on radahn that took a lot longer to fully cripple him and even then he wasnt actually crippled physically.
Ok, but we KNOW it was a stalemate. Just because Rhadahn is still fighting in the present time doesn't mean he didn't fall on the battlefield.
