Islam is not a monotheistic religion. It is a henotheistic religion like Hinduism. Henotheism is when out of the millions of Hindu God people choose one deity as the main deity to be worshiped. Muhammad in islam did exactly the same. Out of the 360 deities worshiped in the Kaaba in Mecca - Muhammad chose his family deity Hubal and made him the "Al illah" the only God to be worshiped. Mohammad simply changed the pagan arabs from pagan polytheism to pagan monotheism. Allah the pagan God of the kaabah is not Yahweh the true God of Abraham.
