For the most part, all Oingo Boingo-style characters have been featured in the Boingo comics. Some characters such as Vanilla Ice were made by Capcom. Some have been redrawn from other Boingo comics characters such as Young Joseph, Midler, Mariah, and others.
If you do not understand, I wrote that they redrawn based on other characters from the comics. If you look at what Young Joseph (Oingo Boingo style) looks like in the game and the man who gave Boingo candy and binoculars and died on a pole (Oingo Boingo style) you will notice that this is the same picture.
