We do not condone racism. This is the first time that I watched your paborito series and I am loving it as a FIILIPINO..... I am from Bacolod. Jessica lived here and she is always welcome to bring her series here because she is a filipina not just a filipina but a BACOLODNON..... You can say "uncomfortable po kmi kasi nkaka sira ng appetite." but do not spew racist comments. Ambaba ng level of maturity nila. Before they did that they should ask themselelves what would they feel if ginanyan sila while travelling as a tourist in other countries.
Okay lng ba na sabihan kaya si kuya na "Stop filming your food or taking pictures you are making us uncomfortable. We are Americans and you are a Filipino know your place."
If they encountered this how would they feel?
We do not condone racist people, and how the guy treated you, and the staff was unacceptable. I loved how you guys managed to stay calm in that situation. Kudos to you guys!
The staff at the place was okay. They're cool with it. They did their part to negotiate, the manager actually somehow sided with Jessica too. But for the peace of the place, good thing Jessica's team decided to just leave. The guy was just being dramatic, "appetite" ng "appetite" LOL. Talent fee ata hinihingi 😂😂😂😂 hilarious

The restaurant where she got kicked out is most likely PARES RETIRO. The street where she’s standing is Dr. Alejos St. cor. Retiro St. (now NS Amoranto St.). Minalas sya at yung nakatabi nyang customer ay maarte. Ok dyan sa Pares Retiro, hindi maarte mga tao dyan pag kumakain, mga makakatabi mo dyan mga lasing, trabahador, mga sosyal, minsan may pulubi pa nga tatabi sa yo. Pero keri lang, walang na-kick out o nawalan ng appetite. Tapos si kuya bigla daw nawalan ng ‘appetite’ yung customer? Loko pala sya e, gusto lang nya magpa-libre.

Nakakatawa si kuya, tapos na kumain sabay sasabihin na wala appetite nya. The design is gustong makalibre, mag gagalit galitan tapos gagawa eksena tapos kakausapin yung manager ng restaurant tapos syempre si manager para hindi lumaki yung issue sasabihin nalang na wag na magbayad si kuya. That’s true. Yun din ang conclusion ko, gusto lang magpalibre ni Kuyang papansin kunyari nawalan ng gana eh tapos na palang kumain. Ang mga oportunista talaga, grabe. Tama si Jessica, just leave and don’t let them (opportunists) take advantage of you.
Nakakahiya yung kuyang racist na walang pambayad sa karinderya. Dapat nagluto nalang sya ng sardinas sa bahay nila at dun sila kumain kung ayaw nya maistorbo sa pampublikong lugar.
Tapos bobo pa si kuya. sabi niya 14:29 "Public ano to..." Kung public area yun hindi kailangan mag ask permission na mag video. Everyone is welcome. Restaurants are privately owned establishments which invite the public into them under certain conditions.

that's straight up racism, I would assume. I understand kuya's complaint cause some people are just too sensitive about being filmed and ITS OKAY. But to include that statement, "Pilipino tayo eh, sila hindi." why does it matter though? WE ALL BLEED THE SAME. I hope kuya will realized that its 2023 already. Kudos to your team for handling it professionally and for big restaurants it's better if you straight up ask the manager. The staff could only do so much. I hope you are not discouraged by the actions of this incident and will still continue your PABORITO SERIES. Cause I enjoy binge watching it while having my meal. Its makes me full and happy every end of your videos! And helps a lot of people, tourist or local to know these kind of places because mostly are very affordable and budget friendly for both families and students.

Hello Jessica, I feel bad about what happened at the near end of the episode. Kudos to your team and to you for being the bigger person in those kind of situations. Nothing beats a heart that is sincere and loving. You love Philippines, you love Filipinos and we love you as well. Lesson learned. Point taken. Duly noted. Hope you find motivation and encouragement more during these hurtful experiences...
If I were in the situation as well, I would also decide to just get out and not fan up the flames of a confused/triggered person. Personally, not the type of guy to settle everything with arguments proving that I am in the right. Even though you really know you are not doing anything wrong, it is always a matter of "what" is the right thing to do, not "who" is more right between the two of you.
P.S My mom's hometown is in Laloma. So it's kinda personal for me, cause we used to have some bad memories in the area.
As someone who grew up in La Loma, I can attest that this place in QC is the actual OG for all foodies and those businessmen planning on putting up new businesses. Favorite ko and I grew up eating Lydia's Lechon, Pares Retiro and Sizzling Sa Matnog. Also during their fiesta sa La Loma, you'll experience yung halos 1 week celebration na minsan may pa-mini concerts pa sila, especially during the early 2000's. Nakakamiss naman talaga! 😭🫶
Was really enjoying this vlog until that last part. Kuhang kuha ni kuya yung inis ko. I applaud Jessica and her team for being professional. Kung sakin nangyari yan, baka di ako nakapagtimpi. I have no tolerance for people na feeling superior at entitled tapos halatang naghahanap lang din ng gulo.
Kung kinunan ng video yung tao without his permission,may karapatan yung tao mag-reklamo kasi naman ang kinunan ng permiso ay yung may-ari ng restaurant siya customer, malay natin maraming atraso, kaso,utang nagtatago itong tao, malay natin kabit yung kasama, hindi lahat ng tao gusto kinukunan ng video lalo na hindi niya alam, mali lang yung dating nung tao at yung mga salita niya, tama ka Jessica you have been rude by not asking for his permission first, so leksyon ito sa team mo, ituloy mo lang mga projects mo youre one of the few that i look forward to watching, thank you iha!!!😊

i love Jessica's positive and professional outlook on the situation. yes we cannot please everybody and the best thing to do is to just de-escalate things. at the end of the day you guys got this experience under your belt to be better equipped for the next time(hoping wala na). kudos to your team as always keep the great contents coming.
Kudos to you and your team for handling the situation extremely well. Honestly, some customers try to find ways for them to avoid paying. For example, my cousin used to work as a part-timer in a fast-food resto and one time, a customer complained that her food wasn’t the one she ordered so they need to give her the correct order AND reimburse her, even though she FINISHED her plate. I also used to work as a part-timer but in a different fast-food resto and almost the same thing happened with me- one lady complained that her food was “too salty” despite finishing her bowl. She wanted a completely different food, but we needed to reimburse her. Like???

The irony is that he probably ruined the other guest's appetite by making a scene. May pa nationalist pride pa, eh content made for Filipinos yung pino-produce ni Jessica, not to mention she employs Filipinos sa team niya. I just don't get it. I understand if he just didn't enjoy people being rowdy and filming, but to bring up him being a Filipino was pointless and weird.

Hi Jessica, original la Loma girl here. Born and raised. I think I know where the 4th place was. It’s actually the Go-to OG food place in our area. Hope you comeback and try other food places here because there is definitely a whole lot more. Don’t get disheartened by the customer, who made a scene, most likely he probably don’t live in our area. Since it’s very popular nationwide, most people travel from different places just to visit that food place. Kudos for handling it professionally though. Ang pagiging Pilipino ay nasa Puso hindi lang dahil sa Dugo. Kilala pa naman tayo sa pagiging humble at hospitable sa ibang lahi, si kuya yung isa sa mga example na Pilipino na makitid pa ang utak. My family always go there whenever we’re in La Loma (and nearby🤐) area, Vice Ganda and other food vloggers feature that place naman na din before. I’m so sorry that you and your team had to experience that. If ever man that’s the place, the manager could’ve handled it better by asking you and your team to move at the second level na lang.
