You can make use of hastati pillas / skirmisher more effectively by creating a hollow half square formation right by the entrance. That way they can throw on the opposing enemy without being blocked by friendly units/object Good video btw.
Thanks! I only noticed how many were being wasted when watching it through again, but thanks for the tip! I am pretty new to PC gaming and total war so still lots to learn, but thank you for your kind words!
I was apprehensive about committing too many men out side of the camps when they didn't have the protection, and in the end was not necessary! And some of my units I had retreat when their ammunition was spent, as this was not a battle post-retreat, so those units, that would not hold up in a melee, left to live to fight another day (or at least that was my thought processes! but ultimately, I'm an amateur PC and Total war player and still relatively new to it!)
Can Rome come back.... yes but NOT Roman Anti - Christ soldiers that went hiding for 3,500 years due to Fear..... but Roman soldiers WHO FORMED, FOLLOWED AND ORGANIZED the roman catholic empire church.... they will come back again, as always persuaded by holy spirit of Heaven
I like to try out the different units available in the game, regardless of their attributes and statistics. I'm a casual player and I believe this enhances my experience, but can appreciate they might not be the most effective choice! This is also from my campaign so it may well be that I didn't have much choice in what I could recruit at that time, but thanks for the comment and for giving it a watch!
@@jamesrobertdylan5907 im just joking , illyrian cav is decent for a light cav, they have good armour and speed but attack is low so you need to charge many times to make it effective
That's okay, I didn't think you were being malicious, but thanks for the advice, the individual units strengths and weaknesses are definitely something i'm still coming to terms with! I tend to build an auxiliary camp somewhere newly conquered and just get excited like a kid in a candy store when faced with the special auxiliary units I can recruit!
It’s always satisfying when you charge your cav into the back of enemies and watch their numbers drop
Great vid, desperate defenses are always so satisfying when you win/cause massive casualty
Thank you for the kind comment! I've posted a few other battles from my Hard mode campaign as the Julii, and, in my opinion, they are even better!
Settlement/Camp defences are always my favorite types of battles. Good vid!

Seaweed are deceptively aggressive in Ancient Rome
How you do the forts like the camp?
why did romans leave? and why didnt they go out side gate and surround enemy?

was the waste of killing sticks on purpose or did you forget to turn off fire at will
A mistake, pretty new to the game
commentary would add to the battles
Thanks for the feedback, I may start doing that!

this right here. is pure skill
why you use illyrian cav, it hurts my eyes

Yeah I love forts. Not good against players. AI doesn't realize they can break the walls will torches xD
