And back then Pride was the one setting the tone in MMA not UFC. UFC only became big AFTER they bought Pride which came with the fighters's contracts. That was back in 2007. Have you been paying attention? The UFC is always offering Nate fights, Nate thinks he deserves $10+ million to fight anybody. Before Poirier got hurt, Nate started demanding a 165 lb title fight, or else he was going to back out. That weight class doesn't even exist, and even if it did, why would Nate get a title shot? He's been inactive for 2+ years, he's never been a champ, and he's coming off of a loss.

Everyone hates on Conor fans but dude, take any hate you might have for conor, put it aside and consider this: I love watching Conor fight because he fights just like Nate/Nick, he marched forward and throws hands and kicks nonstop. He’s never trying to take someone down to lay & pray. He just stands and bangs. Shit is entertaining as fuck to watch. Which is why I don’t want Conor vs khabib. I want Conor vs anyone who will stand and bang with him because Conor is 1 of the best standup guys in the ufc so it’s fun seeing if anyone can beat him on the feet. He’s undefeated on the feet except against Nate Diaz and there he still lost via submission but he was beat on the feet

Before Poirier got hurt, Nate started demanding a 165 lb title fight, or else he was going to back out. That weight class doesn't even exist, and even if it did, why would Nate get a title shot? He's been inactive for 2+ years, he's never been a champ, and he's coming off of a loss.
