Actually I liked the translation you read better than the one on the video, so you did good. Great reaction to a Legendary performance of their most beautiful song.
It was doubly emotional for Damiano that night. It was the anniversary of them winning the San Remo Festival a year before and his girlfriend was in the audience. Although the group said this was a song about a girl the band knew it was also said to be loosley based on his girlfriend's journey and the son did not have a happy ending.

First, it was oh I like this reactor, let's just see who this is he's reacting to....then it was aww, it's not English, probably wasted on me....but.... Maneskin are awesome! I've done a few reactions to them that are in English...but had some people recommend this song so I thought I'd give it a bash. I also didn't understand what he was singing but I was just captivated by Damiano's voice and presence! At the end I read the lyrics in English and it seemed like such a sad song. Could tell from the performance.

This song is a masterpiece!
For us non-Italian speakers it is even more amazing, as the emotions come through so strongly even with no understanding of the lyrics. The song is so complex, that it is impossible to grasp it all in one take. Reading the translation while listening for the first time ruins the mood. Once through just feeling it and then reading the translation a second time through while listening is the way to appreciate this amazing piece of art.

@@ShaneAlanGower This video is nicer to watch, but if you're not familiar with the lyrics (and don't speak Italian), the version with subtitles is worth watching because the lyrics are such an important part of this song.
@Jasmine-in-my-mind I read the lyrics after watching the video(which is in this video). I know there is another version on CZcams with the lyrics but I watched the wrong version. I'm always prone to doing the "wrong" thing. Didn't want to be distracted reading the lyrics and not get the feel for the music. Such a tragic song and I could tell it meant a lot to Damiano 💜
