  • Willie Wilson was a star in the MLB 80s, most notably for the Kansas City Royals, leading them to a World Series title in 1985. The was #MLBbro a speed demon; a switch-hitting technician and his web gems are legendary. In 1979 he set a club record with 83 steals and in 1980 he became the second MLB player with 100 hits from each side of the plate and also won the 1982 batting title (.332).

Willie could FLY around those bases. Loved watching him when I was a kid.

I grew up a Royals fan as a kid. I got to watch the man in person numerous times. They called him the Road Runner back in the day. One of my favorites.

Thanks for your feedback. A true party starter who could swing it from both sides.

First , i grew up watching Willie Wilson and he was electric. Great player on some really good teams. Second, if i did as much cocaine as Willie i probably would have ran fast too.

Royal fan here! He was my favorite even over George Brett! I'd emulate his batting stance and even tried to be a switch hitter as well....
