We have heated with wood for decades. We live in a 1,500 sq foot straw bale house. We tried to heat wit Amish cookstoves first. That was a disaster. We bought a La Nordica stove and have never looked back. I could talk about easy lighting, gas burning and all of those things. Of seven wood cook stoves that I have used, this is the only keeper.
