Ben can actually save Lee from falling to his death. It's determinant tho, you have to:
- Save him in episode 4
- Hide the bite so Christa/Omid won't help you
- Be neutral/unfriendly towards Kenny so he won't help you.
- Ask Ben to help you come find Clem
If you do all of this AND if you *miss* *the* *bell-tower* *QTE*, Ben will lunge forward and pull Lee up back onto the hospital roof, saving his life. It's really cool.

Even clementine couldn't pull the trigger to save lee back when the train stopped with zombies with them in the jail kind of room. Lee had to save himself on his own. She froze, but we can't blame kids right? That's why clem which was the only minor apart from ben understood how he felt and voted to let him stay.

Season one was really the only season where keeping people alive mattered. You were rewarded for keeping Ben around with additional character development and getting the better of the two possible "Kenny disappears" scenarios. Starting with season 2 and continuing to this very day, saving a character from a possible death in Telltale's Walking Dead is fruitless. Take season 2's Nick for instance. He was clearly one of the main characters of the story up until the very end of episode 2. He received a ton of attention and character development and it was very clear that one of the focuses of the season was going to be Nick and Clementine's relationship. This was cemented when Clem is put into a situation where she(depending on your choice at the end of episode 1) either encourages Nick to not give up, or promises a dying old man that she'll look out for him. We have all of this story buildup for this character named Nick. But then he becomes a "determinate character" at the end of episode 2, and from there it's all over. The narrative abruptly loses all interest in him. He goes from being one of the most animated and outspoken members of the group to not saying a damn word during long group discussion scenes. After episode 3 acted like he didn't exist say for one small optional discussion and a few extremely isolated throw away lines, episode 4 ended Nick in the most unsatisfying manner imaginable. Not a single word of dialogue, no send off, no real explanation on how he ended up dead. He runs off with Luke to find Sarah and you just find him hanging on a fence as a walker with a bite mark on his neck. You don't even get a proper amount of time to say goodbye because Sarah and Luke are in peril. Luke, his life long friend barely even reacts to the news that he's gone. Stupidity like this has become the calling card of Telltale's Walking Dead.

Why you gotta hate on telltale like that they aren't like Detroit where there's like over 50 to 100 endings people didn't expect to have a game like that so they could take time telltale on the other hand fans made them have to work quick and they didn't have much time to put multiple choices/endings in and even if they had time they have 4 seasons and each of them you guys expect to have a consequence to every single thing you do, they also have other games to work on so they have even shorter time because they have to release all those other game which is like 16 -19 games they have released (Idk how many they have released) including DLC like The Walking Dead Machoine, and The Walking Dead 100 days or something and the final season feels.like it's gonna be good until they almost shut down completely but now skybound is going to finish it
The Walking Dead season 1 to 4 is a great game no matter what and it will always be remembered

I hated Ben and wanted him to bite the dust on the first opportunity. Then when I got the opportunity to let him die, I couldn't do it. This game along with RDR2 taught me a lot about redemption and forgiveness. Ben is not evil, he is a scared kid who made some terrible choices. He is one of the most realistic characters in TWD cause most of us would be like Ben in a real Zombie apocalypse. He deserves a chance to make things right and redeem himself.

I’ve been looking for a minute trying to find a take like this-100% dude. His character was very realistic to a teenager who had watched his entire class eat each other in a gymnasium. I thought his character added great progression to the story and even outdid itself sometimes. I still get chills when Ben talks about his family and how he never saw them again.

It's like instead of a quick and painless death, he get's a injury from the fall, which must have been very painful and then get torn apart by zombies that he couldn't even run away from. He never deserved that kind of death.

Remember playing this when I was a kid. Of course I saved him during my first time, because "hey, I'm a goodie!" But then...the alleyway scene. So a few years later, I played it again and felt curious and of course dropped him. Felt like a total monster afterwards.
