    Sneaky and perhaps exciting behind-the-scenes fact for you all: I anticipate in the next couple of days wrapping production on the final episode of the WHOLE series! It'll take a while to get there on CZcams, but it's a hell of a milestone for me. We're almost 1 year old on this project too!

      Damn will you be playing the living world + expansions or do you consider those “already done” since you uploaded alot of lenghty walkthroughs on your 2nd channel? Anyway great series top qzality and great commentary overall

    I like the "subtle" zoom in on the crane when the loading screen for Holbrak ended. It really shows us what your eyes focus on every time you see that concept art, and now I don't think I'll ever be able to see that picture without noticing that crane now too.

    The cool thing about the Issormir corpse problem is that it mirrors real world whale corpse removal problems. For a very long time we were unable to remove any beached whale carcasses and while they rotted, which took a very, very long time, people had to avoid the area and if you lived nearby, well RIP. Fun fact about the "blowing it up" line though is that in 1970 a sperm whale washed up in Oregon, USA and local officials decided to do just that. They stuffed it with dynamite and blew it up. Only they didn't. It just shredded the body and sent giant chunks of blubber everywhere. A car was even crushed by one of these chunks. Luckily nobody was killed, but an important lesson was learned. Now we have massive cranes and more effective biohazard gear so clean ups aren't news worthy, but I can't imagine the enormous task of removing something something so large as it rotted all over you when you've got nothing but knives and your own back to haul it on. Cool little bit of dialogue though. Shows the designers really gave this some thought.

    The death bunny is my first big memorable moment of GW2. That beta in particular is probably why wayfarer foothills is so nostalgic for me.

    the event(s) at 22:00 are one of the best in the game in my opinion, it's simple and gives you some lore and questlike stuff to do. It's that place that I think of when someone says events in GW2 :D

    After all the time I've played and all the videos of yours I've watched, I finally realized thanks to this character that our characters don't actually get more powerful in-game. At level 1 you're just as capable of doing crazy heroics as we are at level 80, the level is just there as a game construct. It makes the low level story stuff seem more impactful to me now. It's not like taking out the champions in the tutorial instances are equivalent to taking out Zhaitan, but in game they would be on par with taking out an eye of zhaitan, or a mouth, etc.

    Fun fact: If you talk to Dita (that kid at 45:30) while not playing as norn, she'll ask you for a copper instead of the legend.

    21:30 ish - the GW1 music you comment on is the first music I ever heard upon loading into Yak's Bend. It screams Shiverpeaks to me, and speaks of exploration in general, since it was the first non-Ascalonian track I came upon.

    The frozen lake is interesting - we know that, as of right now, water is defined as any point beneath a certain z-coordinate.
    Does this mean that during development, water levels could not only be defined, but could be updated by events?

      I think that was likely what killed off the idea for this bosses build-up meta, it's a real shame as well because such a vast change in the open world on rotation would of been amazing to see at launch and fun to experience going back years later.

    there is "yeti" in event nearby but it is jotun but it is named yeti. It is end of chain of finding the rabbit that have horns

    I kinda like the idea that the norn players get to call on an ice wurm since all norn players begin their story by killing a great ice wurm.
    Don't really know if it makes sense in any way but still. xD

    Okie, I finally made it through this horrible workload, so I can finally indulge in some WP fun. Honestly, I really miss the stream. I totally get why that format doesn't work for you but I'm getting so behind lol Thankfully, youtube keeps em episodes fresh for me to check out and comment :> I might skip some episode commenting in the future though, there's just no way I can keep up with your renewed release schedule stamina lol But I'm happy to see this LP going as far as it has and am very curious to see how you'll progress after the core story!
    Anyway:
    - I like how the spirits are a bit akin to gods of several pantheons of different cultures in that they have virtues but also flaws and aren't supposed to be infallible.
    - And again, I love that bear is seen as female :> Mother bear protects em all ;D
    - Ah, snow leopards, they're all cowards hiding in the ice. I'd be such a snow leopard...
    - tbf, that head piece does look like it could unfold like the predator's mouth!
    - daaw, I wish I could've seen the death bunny!
    - When you walk back down the stairs, the scenery is so pretty with the statues in the distance. I really love the shiverpeaks a lot

    I like to think of the effusive praise during cutscenes as directed toward the personal story character, in this case the slayer of issormir, more so than the player as a person.

    Speaking of Kodan, I had an idea on a plot/story anet could implement into the game...what if there was a Kodan that did get transform back into norn/humanoid form and comes to presence claiming they were cursed and want there Kodan form back, we ofcourse think theyre just a crazy norn but through detective work it ends up being true and we fight some evil sorcerer/wizard to destroy the spell

    @Wooden Potatoes The issue with assuming the writers saw Yeti were in the lore and decided to just throw them in as a Norn game is the same issue with people assuming the only way we'll ever get Tengu is by going to Cantha; ignoring that they can both exist on Tyria. The larger Tengu tribes were found on the Tyrian continent, so who's to say the larger Yeti tribes aren't either? Given that that game has been there since the start of the game, when most of the writers from GW1 were still on the team, it could be a hint that there are, in fact, Yeti tribes in the Far Shiverpeaks that we've yet to hear about/interact with. Maybe future expansions/LW will finally bring us far enough north to deal with them. One can only hope.
