FEATURING: Jasmine & Proteus
I just HAD to make another video before summer vacation. I had to. My head hurts now.
And it hurt sooo bad having to go back to using OK/bad quality videos again (B&tB was just HORRID to work with).
Anyway, this is the last video that I will be able to make now before I move away to live in a cottage with all the bears and moose and other lovely stuff they have up there in northern Sweden. But this means that I have NO IDEA when I can edit again. DX Just when I get into to the zone, I have to stop. And I had a fricking list of ideas. TT__TT
And this was not supposed to be so... dark. My original plan was very shojo, with Proteus being a lifeguard to the princess and their loveydovy relationship, but then I came acrsoss this song in my playlist and yeeeeeaaah... This happended. ^^''

Story: Jasmine works at a brothel (yes, I went there X,D). One day Proteus, a traveler, comes there and chooses to spend a night with Jasmine, much to the brothel mother's (Lady Tremaine) delight.
Proteus and Jasmine hit it of immediately, flirting and joking around, until they end up in bed. When the passion settles, they cuddle and talk. Proteus brings up his career and it comes out that Jasmine has never left the brothel. On the balcony they talk about the big unknown world until Proteus asks Jasmine to come with him (was she that good?!). She agrees and Proteus tells her that he will wait for her for 3 sunrises before he must set sail again.
The next day Jasmine enters Lady Tremaine's room to ask for permission to leave the brothel. But Lady Tremaine is not so keen to the idea, Jasmine being her top girl and all, and forbids her of thinking such thoughts.
While taking a bath Jasmin talks to Chel, one of the girls there, asking her why she has never left. Chel doesn't know what to answer so she just tells her not to think about such things. "Just smile", she says.
Jasmine remembers back to when she first came to the brothel, how she was taught to always smile and stay put. She is now angry, and more determined than ever to get free from the cage she has lived in for as long as she can remember.
Before the last sunrise Jasmine escapes the brothel, but she doesn't come far before Gaston (Lady Tremaine's henchman) catches and punishes her (you can decide for yourself what exactly he dose to her).
The third sun rises and Proteus is waiting for Jasmine. When she doesn't show up he reluctantly sails out to sea, unaware of her tragic fate.
OBS: All characters in present time are 18+!

Wow . . . Your masking is astonishing, and the story is just fantastic. I gotta admit, I have a thing for brothels and sad endings, and you captured both perfectly. I love the scene where Jasmine flips her hair and Proteus grabs his heart, it just looks so playful and sweet. I love this so much! Great job!
It's dark and bit sad, but I like it :) You did really good job with masking and editing :)
wow !! this is really well done!! Actually it's about human traffic and forced prostitution...something that happens often and it is a complete nightmare being caught in some kind of crime organization...i saw a movie based on real cases...really hard
The sceneries are outstanding! Especially the brothel. (Yep, I'd never thought that I would say that one day XD )

I love a dark story. This one is great. I can't tell if the ending is suppose to be obscure as to what happened to Jasmine; was she killed by Gaston, and her death is what decided Proteus to leave altogether, or was Jasmine detained and Proteus, who was expecting her to run away with him, only concluded that she chose not to come and he sails away not knowing what really became of her? Either ending is tragic. But it made a great story.

THIS IS AMAZING!!!!! It has EVERYTHING I love in it and the effects you made for the intro brothel scene and the three sunsets bit and of course all the personal moments for Proteus and Jasmine are so well made and edited!!! I REALLY love the storyline too! Great Job on this! I'm gonna subscribe!

Wonderful video, but I was wondering about the ending. If Jasmine is the "top girl", wouldn't Gaston killing her be just as bad as her running away?
Well noted and yes indeed! He would get gutted by the boss if he killed her (what exacly he did to her is somethign tha I don't wanna think about). ^_^ I still wanna make a part 2 about where Jasmine actaully manages to escape and how she tries to find Proteus.
***** I have actually decided to make part 2 right after ToBelong 3! The dark theme will continue, but it will have a more satisfying ending than this one. ;)

TheNamelessDoll Yay I'm really excited to see that you've decided to make a part 2 for this. :) It was one that had a pretty open ending so I'm happy that we may get a bit of resolution. I actually like that you aren't afraid to make video's with darker themes and character death, because that's the way the real world works. :D (love all of your vids btw and adore your editing)

Think of me as a casting director! ;D EX: Looking for a character to play the Queen’s love interest in “I have to try” --> Needs to be CGI male, looks good beside Elsa, have clothes that match the setting, looks older than Elsa, has tons of screen time, has varied emotional facial expressions and animation (preferable actions that match Jack’s) and is not from Frozen. Been searching all the disney fanmade videos for help, looking for a video of a disney/non disney interpretation of the french musical romeo and juliet. The characters are tulio and aurora for romeo and juliet. Esmeralda was Death. Miguel and Sinbad were also in there.
