My opinion is that “home schooling” gives too much liberty to parents. Often the development of these children gets completely hidden from any authorities. It should be either forbidden to homeschool your children, OR a weekly or monthly follow up of child protective services should be made mandatory.

It pisses me off so much that the people who took these photos with the neighbors of the family. This was after they left they found dead animals horrid conditions even ropes tied to the bunkbeds and they didn’t notify anybody. They describe seeing so many things that were clear indicators that these kids were suffering horrible neglect and abuse. They could’ve saved a lot of extra pain that those kids went through. What the hell were they thinking?
When will family courts start listening to kids and prevent this? I know kids that speak up and are forced to go back to continued abuse. Locked in a room, no bathroom, no food.
I pray those small kids don't get put in foster care and get miss treated again! Praying for them all

5 years on we know that all the money that was donated was prevented from being utilised by the children. Trustees wouldn’t release the funds. Many children were also molested by their foster parents. So this isn’t a happy ending at all.
how do you have a family and not teach them social interaction? it is crippling.

I’m so glad the 17 year old girl had the physical and mental strength carry out a plan she had been making for two years to save herself and everyone else while so weak, malnourished, and unknowledgeable about the outside world!

My opinion is that “home schooling” gives too much liberty to parents. Often the development of these children gets completely hidden from any authorities. It should be either forbidden to homeschool your children, OR a weekly or monthly follow up of child protective services should be made mandatory.

The sad thing is that each and every one of these children basically get let down by the system and end up living lives about as bad as they did with their parents. Loveless, helpless, hungry, no education, no where to turn for help, no social skills, just cast aside. What the hell is wrong with our society that helping one another thru hardships has become such a burden? Oh and by the way, the funds that were donated for the children from decent people? Well…..I don’t know who but somebody won’t let them have it! Somebody needs to represent these kids and hire a lawyer cause I think there is some tomfoolery going on with THEIR MONEY, I repeat THEIR MONEY! Jmo
