10:33 Zuse helped create a replica Z3 computer later in life. I think his brilliance was in how he designed the relays, his use of a base 2 numbering system, and his concept of a peripheral input. To translate this into a working model, is incredible. There must be some tears in there somewhere.

The Pervitin story is not right. My Grandpa told me you were asked if you want to take it and always given a reason why. So most thought: better a little headache later than a cold butt (dead)! Using stuff like this was common in every army of the time. People simply did not know about the health issues, or not been told.

Jägermeister has the a crucifix between the Stag's antlers signifying that he became a Christian during a hunting expedition. He happened to be startled by a Buck, which was behind him, and lost his balance and fell backwards onto his back. When he looked up, instead of the Buck getting ready to stomp him, he saw a sign. It was his conversion into Christianity.

It was the Polish that first decrypted the enigma code. They gave it to the English intelligence in the first stages of the war (like their pilots who fought in the RAF as aces). Afterwards, the germans, always fearing to be discovered, changed and complexified the code. Then the Bletchley Park team came, and with them a young genius mathematician, Alan Turing.

It's appropriate (this being Good Friday) to give some background on the image on the bottle of Jagermeister. St. Hubert, instead of attending services on Good Friday, was out instead hunting. He drew a bead on a magnificent buck, but as he pulled his arrow back, the buck immediately turned to him and there appeared a glowing cross between its antlers. Basically God told Hubert he was going to hell unless he changed his ways. Hubert contacted his bishop, changed his playboy lifestyle immediately and became a priest, ultimately consecrated a bishop. He is the patron saint of hunters. The bottle label recalls that pivotal moment in Hubert's life.

The first anti-smoking public health campaign was an initiative of the Hitler Government. Australia picked up on this idea in the early 1970s. This has let to only about 11% of our population being regular smokers. Our government is now trying to limit the negative health effects of vaping. This means that we have some of the lowest number of smokers in the OECD.
