This is my third Minecraft visualization on this channel, after my Minecraft Probability Comparison and my Minecraft Size Comparison. I wrote yet another visualization tool, once again as a web app. I ran it in in Mozilla Firefox and recorded it using OBS, instead of NVIDIA Shadow Play which I normally use to record my Minecraft gameplays.
It took ages to get this one working. Although I already had some images ready to go from my previous visualizations, the research and coding itself took a bit longer than expected. Otherwise, the video would have already gone live a week ago, as originally planned.
In this video I take a look at Minecraft ages of different mobs and compare them, like how old Steve is, when the Zombie was added to the game, and how long ago it was, that the Pig, Sheep and Skeleton had their debut! Or maybe you want to know when bosses like the Wither were added? Well, no problem! That's all in this video, and much more!

For the camera I went with the date of when it was added to Education Edition, though it already existed before in the Pocket Edition Alpha, where it was later removed and readded.
Looking at it, that might have been the more accurate "age" for the entity, but what's done is done 😅

It totally throws me off because I took a bit of a hiatus for Minecraft (thought I was cool and grew out of it) so I had no idea that things like underwater temples or pillagers was a thing until about a year ago by my sisters. Then I look at things like this and I'm just blown away by how much I missed.

PSG_ace i stopped playing minecraft since they added the chicken jockeys aftterwards i only loggedin rarely and if i did i joined servers like mineplex or hypixel... so i only made my own seeds and looked at the new mobs for a few minutes so basically almost 3 minecraft years i was lagging behind

They probably feel new because they're underdeveloped. They don't have that much going for them. Even with the three drops that they give and all the trivia related to them, they just don't feel all that useful. They're like an accessory. Especially now with the fact that Cats can be a substitute for obtaining some of the Rabbit's loot now. But that's just my opinion, you may feel differently.

I remember when slimes came out. The first time I saw one, I must’ve been like 7...
I was absolutely THRILLED to find such a rare creature. And when they first came out, you HAD to build underground slime farms for them to spawn. I remember making one with a friend, and when the first slime spawned, we went wild.
And btw, you don’t know the good days of Minecraft if you never made a slime farm. Trust me.
I was not remembering that slimes are that old, but me and my friends did the same with the slime farm and we also went wild when we saw the first one.

I remember getting this game at Beta 1.8. Time really does fly by.
i have played Minecraft since the release and i remember when there were no cows in the game.Minecraft is just such a fun game and after 10 and a half years of playing Minecraft, i have never ran out of ideas. It is crazy how the Minecraft community has grown to be so popular, becoming the #1 most popular game in the world. I share lots of memories with Minecraft and just have alot of fun plying it to this day. Still, there are some people who get bored of Minecraft after 2 years of playing.

Despite adding so much of a variety of mobs, and me having played for 10 years now, back when the game was not fully released, I find that I don't feel weirded out by the newer mobs at all, my mind feels as if they were always there, waiting for me to find them one day, it's a weird thing, as I played back when giants were the newest mobs.
Other than Steve, pigs have seen literally everything in minecraft existense...

The creeper was actually supposed to be the pig, but there were multiple issues with its design, since they were designed by code back then and not drawing them. The creeper is the deformed daddy of the pig

Anyone here remember the Demo of Minecraft: Pocket Edition? The infinite resources, even though there were only 30 or so blocks could still have you building some nice things. Those were the days :)

I remember when ther was a demo for the PC version back in the day that was basically just that but you could play it in your browser before buying the game. Many memories on that. Makes me feel old as fuck, so many people commenting about remembering their early days in minecraft as a kid with stuff that i still consider to be new additions even thouhh theyre 7 years old hahhaa.
