First time I heard this song was on a friend's Myspace profile and a video was playing on his page as well of transmission line workers flying out to the lines and working on the high voltage lines. It sounds funny but it went together perfectly. We were both young, hardass loggers trying not to get killed at work and living the wild life. This always reminds me of those days and those friends.
Life is hard for me this time around full of anxiety and financial struggles as my job got shutdown by the Pandemic for over a year now and situation right now have no signs of improvement. I suddenly remembered this song and while watching through the video tears pour down my eyes as the lines "what hardships will you face?" "what hardships will you overcome?" hits me. 13 years, 13 long years and I still come back to this song and still thankful I've had the chance to do so... I was a pretty messed up teen from everything from being abused from my parents a close friend hanging herself when she was 14 only to follow alcoholism, started to have seizures constantly caused me to lose my job because I was no longer safe to work I wasn't even able to live on my own for fear of choking on my vomit spent some time in the hospital and I'm now stable, went on for more schooling have a good job and even have a son myself who I love more than anything in this world and if anyone is still reading this and struggling it will get better no I may not be tomorrow or next week or even next year...but stay strong and do everything you can and I promise you'll become a much stronger person and I wish everyone of you happiness because you all deserve it!
