Lost at sea - Sigur Rós (English Sæglópur cover)

- Ok, I said I'd never do an english Sigur Rós cover again...
So here's another song from Takk (I hereby covered allready 27% of that album). This one was quite tough because it's hard to figure out what they play since everything blurs when the song goes wild. And there is a key change in the last part of the song and the counting is weird. Also Orris massive drums are very important for the song. Moreover, there are no official lyrics and it's hard to translate something that is not even clear in the original language.
So my version has most likely the wrong chords and lyrics and no drums. Best conditions for a bad cover.

I shot the video with a slow motion camera at 210 fps. I thought the thunderstorm fits to the feel of the song.

Beautiful cover. What camera were you shooting with that could get 210 fps? I haven't found a consumer market camera capable of doing such a thing. Not one of practical use anyway.

Well, you can't really check them out yet, we're currently working on recording songs for our myspace site. It will still take some time but I will tell you when we're finished.

"Hopelandic" is a language without any meaning created by the singer of Sigur Ros, Jònsi.. it consists in using monosyllables and vocalisms instead of words with a meaning while singing :)

I've just done some research, and while there is no Icelandic meaning for Saeglopur, there is Stagelopur. I've read that half the word is Polish, meaning fool, the other half believed to lost at sea. Perhaps this means someone who is foolish enough to become lost at sea, apply the obvious semaphores.
