- Years, months, weeks and days of preparation have led to this day, and we are so happy it has finally arrived. We spent nearly a month in Hong Kong, which was two weeks longer than we originally thought we would be there.
I can't give Steve enough credit for all of the tasks he had accomplished in order to make this trip happen. Like I say in the video, there aren't really enough words to properly explain how much work this has been for him.
But alas, here we are - leaving Hong Kong and headed for Japan. Of course, there are many more details and troubles throughout the way that occur, but those are best kept a secret. 😊😉
Things were going well on day 2/3, but slowly but surely the true traits of the South China Sea emerged and we were making arrangements to get to safety in the wee hours of the night...

a plane who before take off she would visualize the fuel gage then check it with a stick to verify that it was full! Take care my friends!

Better you than me, lol! I spend a lot of time on the water. What you're doing can be dangerous, especially with a new and unproven vessel. Once you get to open water the weather and conditions can change rapidly and that's a small boat to be out there in it... especially when there may not be any other boats anywhere in the area. Be safe guys and don't take chances!!!
Steven would be a good boss to work for, he always keeps his cool under stressful situations, It would be awesome to see the dogs again. Thanks for sharing the adventures again Michy boo

I have been looking forward to this video to finally see it and enjoy it. I am a U.S. Navy Veteran of 6 years. I had spent many hours behind the helm. I have spent many of those years on the Destroyer U.S.S. Ozbourn DD 846 and have taken the helm going into Hong Kong and many other ports in the South China Sea. Kaohsiung was one of my favorite ports to visit. So, you can imagine my excitement to watch this series. I will have to agree, Steve is an amazing intelligent man and seems to have a lot of patience in doing everything he does. You are amazing as well, you seem to be the perfect couple. Thank you for sharing this part of your lives with us. Wishing you safe passage.

i know how tired i get just going out salmon fishing. You don't realized how hard it is on your body to be out on the water at the time. I'm always surprised how hard my body crashes when i get home. Love the video! those guys are lucky to have you there!!

Wow. Diesel Ducks have gone a long way! I met Beno in Panama on the original Diesel Duck (boat name too) in 2008. It was a small aluminum boat (41 feet, 35,000 lbs with a 67 hp Westerbrook diesel) back then and they went on to round Cape Horn on it. Super extraordinary folks. Good luck with your Yacht mega yacht.

I too am insulin dep. at 67yrs. old it is very easy to forget any one sugar test and shot 4x per day. Diet is the most important part!

Hello, years ago, I worked on a commercial fishing vessel up in Alaska. You would think it was always sunny and nice by my few videos. I could only find time to film on pretty days. Most of the time My job on deck was far too important to be messing around with a video camera. There were times when I could not believe the boat could stay afloat with so much water on her decks. I would watch the skipper for his attitude and I trusted his judgement. He grew up on that boat, it was his fathers. If he was still smiling, I knew things were ok. There are two kinds of "ok" one is with a big relaxed "O"....the other with a tiny puckered tight "o". He would use the loud speaker to ask if we were ok, we would either give the big Ok or the tight ok sign with our hand..... : )
