@@luxurytravelexpert less is sometimes more and your videos are a fine example. There's no need for sensationalism, this sort of "omg look how awesome this place is I can't believe it!!!". I think a lot of travel bloggers are trying to gain fame this way. Your approach is the right one, smooth camera work, subtle brief texts below, mellow music.. if you voice your opinion you don't force it onto anybody, you just gently say what do you think and that's it. In my opinion your videos are the best and you should be proud of that. It's nice to see how they evolved over the years.

i was on the amalfi coastline in august & the scenery reduced me to tears.
the evocation of dawn from my bedroom balcony was something to behold.
the area is magical & captivating.

As you know, I am a medical professional (pediatrician) like you. The Amalfi Coast is my go to refuge for two weeks every year. It is like a religion with me. Oh yes, there are “long weekend trips” interspersed but NOTHING, IMHO, replicates the idea of “heaven” as does this part of Italy. The only difficulty is leaving for the return to Miami! Btw, as a loyal follower, I think this is your FINEST trip report to date.

Brilliant! I tell my friends, Last night I stayed at hotel Cipriani I Venice, Italy. I had a 5 star room. It was so luxurious! They laugh, but little did they know - I REALLY was there. Loved it! Where will I go Tonight?

I could spend WEEKS just drooling over the ceilings!!!!! The floors!!!! And the gardens, oh the gardens must just be perfumed by all the flowers and herbs. The views are what the word " gobsmacked" was invented for. Tell me, how does one force oneself to leave a place like that? Because I would try to become a permanent fixture. This place is far too beautiful for human endurance.

The old property so nicely reconstructed keeping it's majestic with the flavor of modernity is amazing, specially the mosaic floors of blue, purple is praiseworthy. So much of greenery soothes the vision all through.
I have just sat for almost an hour watching this. I had no idea how long this video was and it felt like no time at all. Beautiful Hotel, the food and the gardens are magical. I hope to experience such a place one day. Thank you so much for showing us the world is indeed full of beauty.

I beg to differ. I stayed at this hotel just before the renovation, and it was an experience you cannot simply get any longer. The all antique (and I mean like antique in Italy-old...) interior gave the hotel a completely unique atmosphere. The uniformed and plentiful staff of solely senior "white top" Italian gentlemen that quietly served you breakfast from centuries old antique silver, and the ripest plum sized queen olives to accompany your gin and tonic under the pergola overlooking the garden with fist sized lemons..... Now, I visited the hotel after the renovation and sadly it's transformed to a regular luxury hotel, which you find thirteen on a dozen of...Still a very nice hotel, but to much has gone missing after the renovation.
Very grateful for your comment. The more I see of these "restored" or remodeled hotels the more I see how very alike they are. It's sad to lose those unique places.

Thank you for the video. I'm a sucker for exquisite ceilings and floors. Would so want to walk barefoot thru every room to enjoy the floors, then lay on my back in the middle of each room to soak in the ceilings and space.

Love every part of your videos...camera angles, music, etc... It felt like I was there. And yes, we take the amenities home. I even asked to purchase the provided umbrella at the Shangri-La at The Fort, Philippines. At the end of our month stay there, they finally game me a new one😂🤣 As always, thank you for sharing😊
I've seen quite a few of your videos and reviews but this place stands head and shoulders above all others in my memory, which is saying a lot. Recent coverage of Hotel Splendido and Grand Hotel Tremezzo were terrific - but Hotel Caruso blows me away. My goodness! I sure wish to bring my wife here. Even the colorful pottery is distinct and gorgeous. Bittersweet, too viewing breakfast buffet in pre-COVID days. Sometime, this too, shall pass. Keep up the good work and stay safe, your family, as well.
Belmond Caruso is also my favorite in my Italy

Fond memories. Stayed there about 6 years ago and, more recently, the Hotel Santa Caterina to be a little closer to Amalfi and friends in Positano. Ravello is stunning. We found the fastest way around is to rent scooters (concierge can have them delivered).

Thank you for sharing. This is exactly what I was looking for. It's not so easy anymore to find such places without the annoyning masses around you. To us, luxury is in particular being secluded and in a hotel without mass tourism. I will check this out for sure and when we travel there, I will tell them I found them via you.

you are basically the Gold Standard of filming locations, which is both good and bad, good because I absolutely love your smooth style that always shows off the best of what you want to see, but bad because I can't watch anyone elses videos without thinking "keep the camera still! wait you passed up the bathroom, and now you are filming your sloppy sandwich at some cafe? no one wants to see ugly food!"...I would love to know if there is B-roll of you tripping or falling off steps while you are filming!

I had to laugh when you were showing the bathroom, and the toiletries...I said to myself, "Yep, those would be coming home with me!" and a split second later your caption came up asking if we take home hotel toiletries. :D Yes, every time, especially if they're Bulgari!

Spotted @11:01 the world famous red suitcase. This is one area of Italy i've always wanted to visit and this amazing property is a once in a lifetime vacation. Really stunning video. Yes, I tend to take the "nice" toiletries home & normally I share them with my houseguests.
Appropriately, Red has a place of honor in the bedroom. I think Dr. LTE should organize a field trip to this gorgeous hotel for some of his faithful subscribers. Of course, we'd all have to bring red luggage! Oh, and I had a great time in NYC. One special highlight was lunch at Le Bernardin (3 star Michelin seafood restaurant--whoo hoo). I have a huge crush on chef Eric Ripert and saw him walking to work through Central Park and again at the restaurant.
My favourite hotel (considering the architecture,landscape ,the view, the location, the food, the roof top garden,, i could go on and on) amongst all the hotels i've watched in your vedio.

To be honest I am not a huge fan of "old designed" hotel but in Italy, it fits perfectly !

I have shared ALL of your travels to family and friends, they tell me you are so lucky to have a job that you are in love with. Not only do I always take the toiletries, but when they're really good (like from a 5 star or cool boutique hotel) I will hide them in my luggage every morning so that the cleaning lady replenishes them, and then I leave her a little daily tip (in addition to the usual tip at the end). The more seasoned cleaning ladies know what's up and will often leave two of each item every day because they know I want the toiletries and will probably give a nicer tip at the end. Admittedly, my home bathroom closet is full of way too many tiny bottles and soaps. On the plus side, I rarely have to buy toiletries for my home!

The toiletries are free to use while at the hotel, taking any extra home is stealing. Anyone who does this just shows what a cheap disgusting person they are. No different than going to a 7-11 putting a couple of those flavoured creams in your coffee, then filling your pockets or purse with them to take home.
