      @@pneumonoultramicroscopicsi4065 I think it's more that those "bad" (ChessNetwork calls them "hope chess") moves have a good chance of working against weaker players. Similar to how you can play for a win with Black if your opponent is lower rated. So Anish is making the game interesting, giving her a chance to win if she finds the right moves, but also giving himself good practical chances (especially with low time) if she fails to find the reply - all in one. It's all for fun but it also makes a lot of sense to play like that.
      An alternative could be playing very solid and if Anna doesn't make serious mistakes herself, slowly grind her down. But that's not without risks too - there is only so many moves you can make in 2mins.

    • @alexeyvlasenko6622
      @alexeyvlasenko6622 Před 2 lety +5

      I think it's necessary to experiment with questionable moves every once in a while, or one will not improve anymore. In fact, I think when chess AIs are being trained, they have some chance to make a random, almost always bad move rather than the one they evaluate as the best one. If this is not done, they fall into unproductive patterns, where they plateau at some level of skill and cease improving. It's probably the same with humans.

    A lot of anishes moves were not the best but thats the thing about being a super gm against low rated players, you need one tactic and you can just try in the end and will still probably win the game even from a bad position
