a must see video for all Swiss. As a Swiss person, I am deeply unhappy about the move away from neutrality. Lets face it, Switzerland is too far from Russia to be ever invaded. We are more likely to be bullied by the EU and indeed, have been for decades. The push ever closer towards NATO, which is basically a business development and sales function for the western defense industrial complex and a political sword for the neocon politicians in the EU and USA, strips Switzerland of its own democratic decision making process. Might as well close down the UN agencies in Geneva!

Perhaps you don't remember that the Azov Nazis, a group which is part of the Ukraine army, was shooting and killing Ukrainians in the east part of the country for 8 (eight) years, and the reason was that those Ukrainians in the east had Russian roots, b/c Ukraina was in the past part of the former Soviet Union.
No military in Cuba are killing Americans living there, so the USA has no reason to invade Cuba to stop any killings.
The Ukrainians with Russian roots asked Russia for help. After a while they did get help. And also, the ppl there held elections and voted to belong to Russia.
Russia has been offering peace to Ukraine again and again. Zelensky, who used to be the president of Ukraine but whose presidency time ended May 20, 2024, accepted peace but was told by the British and Americans not to and therefore changed his mid several times. Not one western politician has uttered the phrase "negotiated peace".
During my youth, many of us campaigned through CND - Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament - for nuclear treaties and a ladder towards reduced nukes. And it worked for many decades.
Until the USA unilaterally dropped out of two major treaties during the last 10 years. The Russians have asked the Americans 4-5 times to come back to the table without success.
NATO is now talking about placing long range, possibly nuclear, missiles on Euro/Russian borders. It also openly talks about regime change and breaking apart Russia, as if Putin and the Russian people will accept such interference!
The annual revenue of the top 20 defense companies (excluding Russian and Chinese) is about $400bn, roughly the GDP of Denmark. Approx. 150 countries have a lower GDP...!!! These companies can ONLY grow if there is war and conflict (I am assuming their non-war products are not as significant revenue wise).
They can easily spend just 1% = a massive USD4,000mio, on paying off politicians and generating social media and mainstream news media narratives that we consume like lemmings!
Of that USD400bn, not one cent will go towards the reconstruction of Ukraine or Afghanistan or Kosovo or Bosnia or Libya or Iraq or ...
As a business development / sales function of these companies, the new NATO narrative, now that Ukraine has been completely destroyed, is that it is needed in the Far East and so membership is being extended to Asian countries (Japan, Korea, etc).
They will sell a lot more missiles, guns, ammo, services, jets, ships, drones, radars and shields...! Given, that the Global South is de-dollarising (using local currencies instead of USD to buy oil and other products), NATO is perhaps America's easiest option to reduce it's self inflicted and mortal USD35tn in debt.

In the west we might have seen too many warmovies and gave too mych value to "the winner" using MORE force/violance to win. Now we do not know the value of peace. We seem to fail our persons with the very poor + negligent choices we are making. To value "winning" above "peace/stabilty" has a HUGE price tag consequence, as we have now found out. Confusion/chaos now reigns but let CLARITY be our sole guide out of this self-made mess!!!

Neutrality is just a Concept. In world war II Switzerland followed the request for darkening to the disadvantage of the allies bomber pilots. If you choose to do or not to do you automatically favor one side or the other. and in consequence you get the blame for not being neutral regardless your position.

I recall my history syllabus at high school late 1970`s on the Treaty of Versailles. The famous cartoon of the children crying on the steps outside as the leaders of France Britain and the USA drew up the terms for Germany. Who are those children and why are they crying? They are the next generation doomed to die in another war by the vindictive arrogance of the statesmen within. And of course, how we marveled at the patriotic propaganda that had stirred populations to march merrily into industrial slaughter assured by the press. Home by Christmas. People were so naive back then. Uneducated foolish naive masses led by pompous politicians & lying nationalist press barons. Tolstoy was right. Human beings never change. We are the insane once again. Only the stupid would think otherwise.
