The first time I saw the N design, I thought she taped a paper tape in the shape of N and then removed it after the design was completed. The is much harder and more beautiful. And it shows the skills she has. Wonderful designs!

I love the birth month flowers and the color ideas!
The thing is, that I do all this. I have been doing a simple version of these planners because I love doodling. But I never follow the to do lists I set for myself and it's rare that the pages ever get filled with what I have going on that week. But I do love that date page. It's more useful, I think, for those of us who don't have much going on except school and classes. Just those important dates could be marked and we leave out the weekly layout pages. Thanks for the amazing designs!

I do love the black and white you currently have going on!! But colour is always something fun. You can do a 1 colour a month rather than going all out with different ones, which would easy both us and you into using colour on the regular in your journal. Also you may want to think about whether you want watercolours or brush pens or fineliners, etc., so that you can buy a journal that can handle the medium accordingly. Can't wait to see more from you. Good luck with November!!
I love the idea of the birth month flowers. I remember as a kid how fascinated I was to learn that my flower is the carnation. I love their fragrance and their ruffled petals. I’m just finishing up an 8-week botanical drawing class - all black and white, which I love - but I’d like to see how color can be incorporated into my drawings. Looking forward to seeing your 2020 ideas!

I love the N with florals surrounding! I may use that idea to personalize birthday cards in 2020. Your ideas for 2020 sound fun to me so I'm on board with those :) The look of the dial calendar is very pretty but not sure if I would use that ... at least not every month. Thank you for sharing your creativity!
I think for 2020 we should do the monthly flower and also for color incorporate the color of the month’s stones and maybe add some horoscopes symbols maybe...

I love love love the dial calendar page. I will probably use it in a different way but I absolutely love it. I will be sad to see the dutch doors go away if you stop doing them next year that might be sad. Also, the birthday month flowers is so fun I was doing that at the beginning of the year but then stopped because I just am not making the time to make up my own designs 100% any more.
Definitely color, especially if you do flowers.

I like your streamlining idea. For my 2020 bullet journal I am streamlining to a specific topic or theme and come up with monthly ideas relating to that theme. I will be sharing this on my Instagram as well.

I think your idea for next year doing the monthly flowers as a base of the 2020 monthly planning is a cool idea. To add color I think it would be really awesome if you used the colors of each month's precious & semi-precious stones.

I love to have some kind of colour on my pages, but mostly I go with a monochromatic colour pallet. For example one red in various opacity or value. Maybe matching the colour you use with the usual colour that the flower has.

With or without colour your artwork is outstanding I do love the pen artwork you do too because it's very outstanding you so it's your unique style which you love but I think colour is going to be very interesting too because I've seen your colourful artwork and that's got a unique look which is of your art so either way you would know that's Shayda artwork 🎨

Love your Ideas for 2020
2020 Colour - I love it! Are you going to go around the colour wheel twice? Or do a "dark" and "light" page for each primary & secondary colour around the wheel?
Or
Do a single colour page then a double colour followed by a single? Which colour do you start with to plan out the year? I need to spend some time with some scrap paper today!
Jan - Blue
Feb - Blue & Purple
March - Purple
April - Purple & Red
May - Red... etc.
Back in 2012, my crafting buddy and I did our first Altered Art Journal, the theme for every month was going around the colour wheel. As we were gaining confidence, Red Bear came up with the idea that for April & May 2013, which were to be orange and yellow, she wanted a window between the two months, The other part of the challenge was one month had to incorporate fabric and the other needed to have a border.
I decided to use both elements on both pages. This is when I discovered that shading with yellow is difficult! I love challenges like this because it always delights me to see how different the results are when we start with the same rules or ingredients.
