Look that one up in the gospel kids.
But here’s the problem with virtually all Protestant churches, they are not based in scripture. They are based in the hysteria of Martin Luther (a severely emotionally troubled man) who was terrified of going to hell, and essentially tried to use the Bible not to come closer to God, but more like a sorcerer’s grimoire. In short, he wanted to find a way to keep the demon from being able to damn him.
But the demon he was trying to banish was God.
His was a tragic life of severe depression, compounded by sexual immorality, gluttony, and abject terror.
The devil never did better than with the reformation. It split Christianity into a monster with thirty thousand heads, that wars against itself to this day.

Last September a Baptist preacher saw my Miraculous Medal hanging around my neck and suddenly went into a whole thing about the sign of the cross being about death and sin, without even a segway to the point either. He was fond of telling me how he used to nail big poster of Martin Luther's 95 thesis to the doors of Catholic churches. He said a lot of wild things.

This is why I believe in the Catholic faith because no priest in my life ever stood on the altar and spewed hatred toward other churches. It was not until I met protestants that I realized how much hatred and false belief they seem to hold against Catholics.

I like listening to these Catholic priests. They always sound kind, sane, and reasonable. Even if I don't always agree with everything, I always learn something.

Excuse me? You probably mean evangelicals. I, as a true German Lutheran Protestant, have to bear a lot of arrogance and self-righteousness from my Catholic brothers and sisters (online and in extended family). If it weren't for Catholic pride, I would not have even thought about this whole division issue because to me Jesus is the uniting factor. None of our ordained pastors have ever preached that way, ever; not even the more radical denominations. (Quite the contrary. Many of them are far too fat and lukewarm - lulled by a safety blanket of a secure income paid by us tax payers.)
As a convert to Catholicism, I have one thing to say to that pastor, "The measure you give out is the measure you will be given." That degree of anger will be answered in like manner. I feel sorry for him. 🙏
I don't. He knows exactly what he's doing. I pray for these types every day, but sheer evil is a choice. I know that sounds mean, but I will pray for him to wake up and smell cappuccino.

That’s deep, but I’m sure I’ve heard that before from a biblically point of view. I try to be understanding and non judgmental with people bc I think they are already hard on themselves. I’m not exactly sure how that would come back on me but I try to not be hard on people.

I have never heard a negative word said about Protestants at a Catholic mass. Not one time. The Protestant ignorance, anger and bigotry is breathtaking.
It makes me feel sad. I belong to a homeschool co-op with families of different faiths, but predominantly Protestant. It has been my experience when someone realizes I am Catholic, their whole tone changes and they become more distant. 😅😢

And how about all the souls who passed before the Baptist church came around? Three years ago one of my cousins died from covid. He and his family were Baptists; his parents were not. At his funeral, the Baptist minister said, "You will not see your son in heaven because you have not been born again. You will all rot in hell." Like this man, the minister was practically frothing at the mouth. About 60 of us got up, and began to walk out while he was still screaming. The deceased's niece, age 12, looked at the minister st she was walking out with her family. She told him, "We'll see my uncle in heaven, but we won't see you there because you're a hater. God doesn't hate people, but you do. You shouldn't be a minister." No one should judge where a person may go after death. We are not God. Only God in his infinite wisdom and justice can answer that question-----and no two-bit, ranting fool spewing hatred can pass judgment on anyone.

As soon, as she gave the question to him, while watching his burrial on TV, while asking for a sighn, if he knows about it, the pages of NT on his coffin (as I remember) started flipping out of nowhere untill the book ended up closed. She saw him at the moment of hos death too and she saw him after, working with Jesus.

I was an active Catholic apologist in the late 1990's - 2004. I couldn't believe what I was accused of. It all comes down to what is "taught" at the non Catholic pulpits. These non Catholic Christians are bombarded with anti Catholic false ideology. It was extremely hard to discuss anything Catholic with them.

This Mr. Anderson used to send his followers out house-to-house in the Mesa/Tempe Arizona area. I lived there, and watched his CZcams channel to see what he was up to. I never heard so much hate toward so many in my whole life! Just hate, hate, hate.

Being 2 blocks from a Jehovah's Witness kingdom hall, I was used to the door-to-door harassment. I flat-out lied and said I'd try to come if I could. They seemed to be such nice people, and I felt so sad they were being influenced by all that hate.

I read Anne of Green Gables many years ago and I loved the books (all of them). There is a scene where Anne tells one of the adults that she imagined she was a Catholic nun, because it looked so romantic. No, she didn't want to be a Catholic - and the man said that was a bad idea because the Catholics were like pagans to him. It shocked me a little bit. As a person living in a Catholic country, I had no idea somebody would treat us with such contempt. I was never taught we should treat protestants the same way.
This pastor is going to be so sad when he meets Jesus. I hope he accepts God’s mercy. May God bless him and may the gifts of the Holy Spirit open his eyes and his heart to the truth.
I'm not Catholic, but I absolutely adore Jesus and I know that the only way to the father is through him. I learn so much on this channel ❤. I like the cute animal videos plus the messages. Catholic priests on this channel are smart and know their stuff, so I listen and learn. 😊

One of the simplest explanations I've heard for praying to Mary or other Saints is that we are simply asking them to pray for us, just like we do with our brothers and sisters we see weekly. God is not a God of the dead, but of the living, and we are surrounded by such a great crowd of witnesses who are living in the sight of God. We can ask them to pray for us too.

The images of children, families and nature scenes are wholesome and beautiful, but pet animals like dogs are man made. They are not created by nature or god, are not natural animals, and are not intended to exist. Peoples obsession with pet animals is taking away from human relationships. People are replacing spouses and children with dogs. It is false idolatry. Dogs are attacking our children on a daily basis. Please consider what i am saying. I know you are unaware of this, and innocently think dogs are wholesome and are of god, but they are not. Dogs dont have discernment or morals. A creature without those does not belong in the human family. Pet ownership only harms the human family.

They are man made, force bred, and have many health defects just because they are not natural animals. And as people focus so much attention on pets, they are taking attention away from their human relationships. It is false idol worship, and needs to stop.many people even say they value pets more than thier human relationships, and that is blasphemous. The images of human families and nature are wonderful, but not the ones of pets, particularly dogs, who actually prey on our own young on a daily basis, and have no sense of morality or discernment between right or wrong.

Firing off with that language from the pulpit would have had me go out the doors that very moment. That's why I don't often bother with Protestant churches these days. I'll go the the Spanish speaking place where my wife attends, and the pastors pretty much stick to the scriptures to make their points about whatever his topic is, like forgiveness and focusing on Jesus. The general pastor sure makes an effort and I have to give credit. The people there sure are seeking really hard. Nice folks.

As someone that’s a former Southern Baptist (currently Non-Denominational), but going through RCIA in a couple of months this kind of finger pointing and slander really upsets me. It shouldn’t be conducted on either side even if you’re Orthodox, Catholic, or Protestant.
I literally spent 10 years visiting other denominations and listening to their doctrine. I wanted to have an open mind and observe and assess for myself. I wouldn’t be swayed by “man”. I’ve spent almost the last 5 years reading my Bible nearly every single day!!!
What I’ve learned is that if you let people open their mouths you’ll find out quickly what fruits they bear. Humility and humbleness seems to be lost in a majority of the Christian world today. Well….in the West it’s evident. To be quite honest, there are some pastors / priests that don’t belong or deserve to be behind a pulpit. They forget that position is serious in God’s eyes and they can easily bring condemnation on themselves.
Another thing I’ve learned is that most of the slandering and disdain for the Catholic and Orthodox is based on pure ignorance of early church history as well. I feel like I found God once I discovered the Apostolic faith. Being a Protestant it felt as if I was being taught what scripture SAYS, but not how you actually IMPLEMENT it into your life.
I’m curious, how do your Southern Baptist friends and family feel about you becoming Catholic? Did you see a lot of anti-Catholicism in your Southern Baptist church?
As a catholic I actually did not know, that Protestants are furious about the Catholic Church. I knew nothing at all. So I had an employee who’s father was a pastor. It was really not easy with her. She always letting me know she is superior.
There is always something for them to PROTEST as Protestants, even when they don’t understand what they’re protesting against.

I'm Catholic and been subjected to this kind of tirade by Baptists. I have Baptist friends that spew hatred towards Jesuits and other Orders of Catholicism. It's crazy. They think we pray to statues, and seem to think we can't understand the Bible as well as them.

In Scripture, those who take on the role of Teachers will be judged more harsher. This is why Parents, Pastors, Public Figures, Community Dissenters and Priests are dangerous positions for the spiritually irresponsible to hold. Glorifying such Grave Sins by examples while providing teachings that lead people away from God, is a surefire way to risk your Soul belonging to Hell.

As a middle aged white Catholic, I prefer the Black Baptists, who sing and yell hallelujah and have that great rhythm and clapping.
I do love the energy of the black church, any black church. Before I came back to the church I tried everything to belong people to other Christian associations they all had super nice people but my spirt needed the quiet reverence of the mass and church, the altar not band equipment and the order. Recently I have found out many things I wasn’t taught by catechism good things and I’m so grateful for confession by the priest. It’s all falling together rapidly for me . I’m doing my rosary daily. I figured it’s the least I can do for Jesus,Mary & Joseph but I also find myself praying more and saying prayers for others through out the day.

Ok. You like the music. Do you really know what the Holy Mass is about? Sadly some Priest allows the Mass be a singing and claping celebration, like the protestants, but the right meaning is the Mass as a Sacrifice. First the pain later the joya when You receive the Holy communion. . The Mass is a celebration not in the human normal way, is a celebration in God's way. It requires meditation, silence an a Lot of praying to understand it better.

I am also a convert to the Catholic faith. This pastor’s demonic speech and yelling got to where I couldn’t stomach it anymore and had to keep speeding forward to the priests all I can say is Lord have mercy for this man, if he doesn’t have a conversion of his soul he is in trouble!
