I had to giggle when you said your wood stove was your friend. My nephew built and installed mine into my truck camper and it truly is THE best thing ever. There is nothing like wood heat. Also, at 72 gathering, cutting, and chopping wood by hand is healthy exercise. I admire your minimalistic lifestyle, which I also have adopted about three years ago. Living with only the true necessities of life, traveling with my senior cat and pup, and exploring this beautiful world is keeping me young at heart and strong. Happy New Year to you, Foresty Forest. An Oregon nomad 🌲💗🐶🐺💗🌲

The wood stove is one of the best additions you have made to your van. There is something about a wood stove that you cannot get from any other type of heat. Of course, nice to have another source of heat so you don't have to constantly feed the little beast.

    Another great video.
Many years ago, I was on my placement (a year in industry - degree course) at a chemical company. One day, a work colleague showed me around the warehouse. Cut to the chase, I had a works Geiger counter and the work colleague open a sealed yellow oil drum of radioactive mine waste(uranium oxide). Yep the Geiger counter was ticking away merrily.
At the time, one department was looking into how to decontaminate toxic lands. The oil barrel was a sample of those mines.

Because uranium decays by alpha particles, external exposure to uranium is not as dangerous as exposure to other radioactive elements because the skin will block the alpha particles. I’ve traveled the world & seen lots of places.. this is an area I didn’t get to sadly. You showing what you do, on foot, driving & with your drone etc makes me feel like I’m having the experience - even though it’s not the same - at least I’m seeing it and probably better than most tourists bc you go out and truly explore. I’m sure so many people feel like I do.. super grateful that you are moving forward, sharing enormously epic things/pics/videos and connecting us all to our world. Can’t wait to see what happens next.. but the tranquility is relaxing at the same time. Thanks Foresty 💯💯🙌. Happy New Year to you, 2022 has to be amazing bc ‘21 & ‘20 were ‘meh’ at best LoL

    My Dear Lone Wolf,
Well, another year (of C O V I D) has come and gone and all is well with you. Good job taking care of yourself. Your patreons and subscribers depend on you.
I am so elated to hear you have found another to take the place of your beloved Crock Pot. While you will always have a special place in your heart for her (and in your van) your woodstove will fill you with a slightly different kind of a warm feeling at night; formerly in your stomach and now in your toes
May you find as many more favorite things as you need in 2022.
May God continue to bless you and watch over you and may the
Earth Angels appear when you need them most.
    Onward and Upward!
    From
The Great Lake State of Michigan 🐢
ps...maybe while you're out there looking for Nemo, perhaps you could keep an eye out for Hoffa. You never know who you'll find in the mountains. Am I right Mike?
pss...If you ever see any Bell's
Two Hearted Ale out there, give it the Ole' Michigan try; it's tasty
    psss...another good diagnostic call,
    that pedal was definitely seized

Happy New Year. I never realized how interesting Utah is. I've only seen a few pictures, but what you showed in your video was way more intriguing. The size of the rocks and canons, one gets a better prospective when a person is standing there. I'm glad that things are going good and you are finding things that interest you. Take Care & Safe Travels.

A Happy and Healthy New Year to you Foresty and keep doing what you love doing. A little different scenery than Canada , but very beautiful. Good luck in the new year.

One of my favorite things about your videos is I feel like I’m hanging out with you in the wilderness. I get lonely sometimes. It’s nice to have the company. Do you ever get lonely or are you totally adapted to the solo lifestyle? Does the conversation with the camera and your audience give you a sense of company?

I usually make it out to Escalante every November. Just a beautiful area with a number of slot canyons to explore (with better weather). Recommend Peek-a-boo and Spooky slot canyons. Right off Hole in the Rock road. Enjoying the content, loving you’re out exploring off highway 12, one of my favorite roads in the world.

Forestry...what brought me to your channel, were the long adventure hikes you did...it seems like your videos are showing more of the van and the driving and the cooking rather than the adventure hikes.
